Playing Discs
3 Press POWER on the recorder.
4 Press A and place a disc on the
disc tray of DECK A (or B). Press
A again to close the disc tray.
5 Press H.
The recorder starts playing. Adjust the
volume on the amplifier or the TV.
After following Step 5
Depending on the disc, a menu may appear
on the TV screen. You can play the disc
interactively by following the instructions
on the menu. DVD (page 27).
To turn off the recorder
To turn off the recorder, press POWER on
the recorder. While playing a disc, do not
turn off the recorder by pressing POWER.
Doing so may cancel the menu settings.
When you turn off the recorder, first press
x to stop playback and then press POWER
on the recorder.
About the
symbol display
The symbol will be displayed on the
screen if you press a button which
cannot be used or enter an incorrect
number.
Some DVD discs may have places
where they do not allow pressing of the
STOP, SKIP, or other buttons. The
mark will be displayed on the screen if
you press a button that is not allowed
in such a place.
Playing Discs
This recorder has two decks. When using
the remote, set DECK A/B switch to DECK
A for operations on DECK A (the CD/DVD
player section), or to DECK B for
operations on DECK B (the CD-R or
CD-RW recording section).
In this manual, the CD/DVD player section
is just called DECK A, and the CD-R and
CD-RW recording section is called DECK
B.
1 Turn on the TV and amplifier.

TV and amplifier.
