Partner Commitments
Following are the terms of the ENERGY STAR Partnership Agreement as it pertains to the manufacture
and labeling of ENERGY STAR certified products. The ENERGY STAR Partner must adhere to the
following partner commitments:
1. Partner shall adhere to the following product-specific commitments regarding use of the
ENERGY STAR certification mark on certified products:
1.1. Partner must use the ENERGY STAR mark in one of the following ways:
1) Via permanent or temporary label,. All temporary labeling must be affixed to the product
with an adhesive or cling-type application:
a. The label shall be on the top or front of the product if the top or front of the product
has a contiguous, copl
anar surface area not used for touch input or display that is
greater than or equal to 0.625 in square;
b. Otherwise, the label shall be on the reverse side of the screen; or
2) Via electronic labeling displayed on the screen such that the ENERGY STAR mark must
be at least 4% of the screen by area; must be greater than or equal to 76 pixels x 78
pixels; must be legible; must be in cyan, black, or white; and either
a. Must appear at system start-up, and must display for a minimum o
