1. SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure all health and safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are strictly adhered to when using this
equipment.
9 Before using the stand ensure it is in sound condition and good working order.
9 Replace or repair damaged parts. Use recommended parts only. Non authorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
9 If used on a stand keep the stand clean for best and safest performance.
9 Locate the stand in an adequate working area for its function, keep area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials and ensure
there is adequate lighting.
9 Use on a firm, level surface capable of sustaining the stand and the load.
9 Remove ill fitting clothing. Remove ties, watches, rings and other loose jewellery. Contain and/or tie back long hair.
9 Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and wear non-slip shoes.
9 Ensure all non-essential persons keep a safe distance whilst the stand is in use.
9 Lock mounting plate in position before fixing a load and ensure the load is centred and securely mounted on the locking plate.
9 Ensure the stand and the load are stable.
9 To move a loaded stand, push it from the load side. DO NOT move the stand from the handle end and never pull the stand towards
yourself. Also ensure surface over which the stand is to travel is strong enough to take the stand and load and that it is not cracked,
uneven or obstructed.
9 Keep hands clear of moving parts when folding and unfolding the stand.
9 Wear appropriate protective clothing.
8 DO NOT operate unit if damaged.
8 DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the stand.
8 DO NOT exceed the stand’s rated capacity.
8 DO NOT use the stand when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
▲ DANGER: DO NOT work under an engine mounted on the stand.
8 DO NOT use the stand for purposes other than for which it is designed.
WARNING! Failure to comply with these instructions may result in damage to the stand, load and/or personal injury.

9 When not in use, store stand adaptor in a safe, dry, childproof area.
2. INTRODUCTION
Compatible with VW derived Air Cooled 4 Cylinder engines 1200/1500/1600/1900cc including Porsche 912/356. Gives complete 360° access
to the engine. Can be mounted to the workbench with the supplied bracket or can be added to most engine stands which receive 60mm
diameter head tube. (compatible with All Sealey stands except geared type). Bolts to left or right engine case halves, allowing full access to fully
assembledordisassembledengine.Heavygaugesteeltubing.Powderpaintnishforrustresistance.

4. OPERATION
NOTE: It is recommended that the yoke is securely
ttedtotheenginebeforemountingtoeitherthebench
or stand adaptor.
NOTE: Adaptor must only be attached to one side
of the engine case to allow for engine disassembly
and rebuild.

4.1. BENCH MOUNTING
4.1.1. Ensure both the unit adaptor and bench are securely

4.1.2. Fully engage the yoke shaft into the bench unit and
rotate the engine unit to the correct position.
4.1.3. TightentheT-barclamptormlyholdtheloadedyokein
the correct orientation for the work being undertaken.
4.1.4. Loosen the clamp when rotation of load is required. Support the load to avoid gravity causing undue rotation of the load.
4.2. STAND MOUNTING (Also refer to Safety Section)
4.2.1. ` Theuseofastandreliessolelyontheintegrityofthestand.Ensurethestandistforpurpose,
4.2.2. Insert the yoke into the stand collar until the six holes in the yoke tube align with hole in the stand.
4.2.3. Rotatetheyoketoalignonethesixholesarounditwiththeholeinthestandcollarandinsertthelockingpintoxtheyokeinposition.
4.2.4. Remove the locking pin when rotation of load is required. Support the load to avoid gravity causing undue rotation of the load.
5. MAINTENANCE
5.1. Regularly check the condition of yoke and bench mount. DO NOT use if any sign of damage.
5.2. Clean the unit with gentle detergent and soft dry cloth. DO NOT use abrasive/aggressive cleaning materials to avoid surface damage.
6. END OF LIFE
6.1. Dispose of unit in accordance with the Environment Protection footer (below) and local/national guidelines.

Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
