It is vital that you read and understand this
user manual before using the product,
including safety warnings, and any assembly
and operating instructions. Keep the manual
for future reference.
Safety precautions and recommendations
detailed here must be fully understood and
followed to reduce the risk of injury, fire,
explosion, electrical hazard, and/or property
damage.
Safety information presented here is generic
in nature – some advice may not be
applicable to every product. The term
"equipment" refers to the product, be it
electrical mains powered, battery powered or
combustion engine powered.
• Before Use - If you are not familiar with the
safe operation/handling of the equipment or
are in any way unsure of any aspect of
suitability or correct use for your
application, you should complete training
conducted by a person or organization
qualified in safe use and operation of this
equipment, including fuel/electrical handling
and safety.
• Do NOT operate the equipment in
flammable or explosive environments, such
as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases, or dust. The equipment may create
sparks or heat that may ignite flammable
substances.
• Keep clear of moving parts.
• Equipment may be a potential source of
electric shock or injury if misused.
• Do NOT operate the equipment if it is
damaged, malfunctioning or is in an
excessively worn state.
• Do NOT allow others to use the equipment
unless they have read this manual and are
adequately trained.
• Keep packaging away from children - risk
of suffocation! Operators must use the
equipment correctly. When using the
equipment, consider conditions and pay
due care to persons and property.
General Work Area Safety
• Work areas should be clean and well it.
• Do not operate the equipment if
bystanders, animals etc are within
operating range of the equipment or the
general work area.
• If devices are provided for connecting dust
extraction / collection facilities, ensure
these are connected and used properly.
Dust collection can reduce dust-related
hazards.
General Personal Safety
• Wear appropriate protective equipment
when operating, servicing, or when in the
operating area of the equipment to help
protect from eye and ear injury, poisoning,
burns, cutting and crush injuries. Protective
equipment such as safety goggles,
respirators, non-slip safety footwear, hard
hat, hearing protection etc should be used
for appropriate equipment / conditions.
Other people nearby should also wear
appropriate personal protective equipment.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery,
which can be caught in moving parts. Keep
hair and clothing away from the equipment.
• Stay alert and use common sense when
operating the equipment. Do not over-
reach. Always maintain secure footing and
balance.
• Do not use the equipment if tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol, or
medication.
• This equipment is not intended for use by
persons with reduced physical, sensory, or
mental capabilities.
General Fuel Safety
• Petrol/fuel/gasoline is extremely flammable
– keep clear of naked flames or other
ignition sources.
• Do not spill fuel. If you spill fuel, wipe it off
the equipment immediately – if fuel gets on
your clothing, change clothing.
• Do NOT smoke near fuel or when
refuelling.
• Always shut off the engine before
refuelling.
• Do NOT refuel a hot engine.
• Open the fuel cap carefully to allow any
pressure build-up in the tank to release
slowly.
• Always refuel in well ventilated areas.
• Always check for fuel leakage. If fuel
leakage is found, do not start, or run the
engine until all leaks are fixed.
General Carbon-Monoxide Safety
• Using a combustion engine indoors CAN
KILL IN MINUTES. Engine exhaust
contains carbon-monoxide – a poison you
cannot smell or see.
• Use combustion engines OUTSIDE only,
and far away from windows, doors, and
vents.
General Equipment Use and Care
• The equipment is designed for domestic
use only.
• Handle the equipment safely and carefully.
• Before use, inspect the equipment for
misalignment or binding of moving parts,
loose components, damage, or any other
condition that may affect its operation. If
damaged, have the equipment repaired by
an authorised service centre or technician
before use.
• Prevent unintentional starting of the
equipment - ensure equipment and power
switches are in the OFF position before
connecting or moving equipment. Do not
carry equipment with hands or fingers
touching any controls. Remove any tools or
other items that are not a part of the
equipment from it before starting or
switching on.
• Do not force the equipment. Use the
correct equipment for your application.
Equipment will perform better and be safer
when used within its design and usage
parameters.
• Use the equipment and accessories etc. in
accordance with these instructions,
considering working conditions and the
work to be performed. Using the equipment
for operations different from those intended
could result in hazardous situations.
• Always keep equipment components
(engines, hoses, handles, controls, frames,
housings, guards etc) and accessories
(cutting tools, nozzles, bits etc) properly
maintained. Keep the equipment clean and,
where applicable, properly lubricated.
• Store the equipment out of reach of
children or untrained persons. To avoid
burns or fire hazards, let the equipment
cool completely before transporting or
storing. Never place or store the equipment
near flammable materials, combustible
gases, or liquids etc.
• The equipment is not weather-proof, and
should not be stored in direct sunlight, at
high ambient temperatures or locations that
are damp or humid.
• Do not clean equipment with solvents,
flammable liquids, or harsh abrasives.

General Electrical Safety
• Inspect electrical equipment, extension
cords, power bars, and electrical fittings for
damage or wear before each use. Repair or
replace damaged equipment immediately.
• Ensure all power sources conform to
equipment voltage requirements and are
disconnected before connecting or
disconnecting equipment.
• When wiring electrically powered
equipment, follow all electrical and safety
codes.
• Wherever possible, use a residual current
device (RCD).
• High voltage / high current power lines may
be present. Use extreme caution to avoid
contact or interference with power lines.
Electrical shock can be fatal.
General Electrical Safety
• Electrically grounded equipment must have
an approved cord and plug and be
connected to a grounded electrical outlet.
• Do NOT bypass the ON/OFF switch and
operate equipment by connecting and
disconnecting the electrical cord.
• Do NOT use equipment that has exposed
wiring, damaged switches, covers or
guards.
• Do NOT use electrical equipment in wet
conditions or in damp locations.
• Do NOT use electrical cords to lift, move or
carry equipment.
• Do NOT coil or knot electrical cords, and
ensure electrical cords are not trip hazards.
General Service Information
• The equipment must be serviced or
repaired at authorised service centres by
qualified personnel only.
• Replacement parts must be original
equipment manufacturer (OEM) to ensure
equipment safety is maintained.
• Do NOT attempt any maintenance or repair
work not described in this manual.
• After use, the equipment and components
may still be hot – allow the equipment to
cool and disconnect spark plugs and/or
electrical power sources and/or batteries
from it before adjusting, changing
accessories, or performing repair or
maintenance.
• Do NOT adjust while the equipment is
running.
• Perform service-related activities in suitable
conditions, such as a workshop.
• Replace worn, damaged or missing
warning/safety labels immediately.
Petrol Powered Blower/Vacuum Safety
• Inspect the unit before use. Replace any missing or damaged parts.
• Check for fuel leaks. Make sure all fasteners are in place and secure. Replace parts that are cracked, chipped, or damaged in any way. Do not
operate the unit with loose or damaged parts.
• Carefully inspect the area before starting the unit. Remove all debris and hard or sharp objects such as glass, wire, etc.
• Be aware of the risk of injury to the head, hands, and feet.
• Clear the area of children, bystanders, and pets at a minimum, keep all children, bystanders, and pets outside of a 50-foot (15 m) radius; there
still may be a risk to bystanders from thrown objects. Bystanders should be encouraged to wear eye protection. If you are approached, stop the
unit immediately.
• Use only original equipment manufacturer replacement parts.
• Squeeze the throttle control and check that it returns automatically to the idle position. Make all adjustments or repairs before using unit.
• Do not operate this unit when tired, ill, or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications.
• This unit is intended for adult use only. Do not allow children or untrained individuals to use the unit.
• Familiarize yourself with the controls and proper use of your unit prior to using.
During Operation
• Never start or run the unit inside a closed room or building. Breathing exhaust fumes can be fatal. Operate this unit only in a well-ventilated
outdoor area.
• Use the unit only in daylight or good artificial light.
• Avoid accidental starting. Be in the starting position whenever pulling the starter rope. The operator and unit must be in a stable position while
starting.
• Only use this tool for its intended purpose.
• Do not overreach. Always keep proper footing and balance.
• Always hold the unit with both hands when operating. Keep a firm grip on handle or grips.
• Keep hands, face, and feet at a distance from all moving parts.
• Do not touch the engine or muffler. These parts get extremely hot from operation, even after the unit is turned off.
• Do not operate the engine faster than the speed needed to blow, or vacuum.
• Do not operate the unit with loose or damaged parts. Stop the unit, switch the engine to off, and disconnect the spark plug for maintenance or
repair.
• Use only original equipment manufacturer replacement parts and accessories for this unit. These are available from your authorized service
dealer. Use of any unauthorised parts or accessories could lead to serious injury to the user, or damage to the unit, and void your warranty.
• Keep unit clean of vegetation and other materials.
• To reduce fire hazard, replace faulty muffler and spark arrestor. Keep the engine and muffler free from grass, leaves, excessive grease, or
carbon build up.

Other Safety Warnings
• Allow the engine to cool before storing or transporting.
• Store the unit in a dry area, locked up or up high to prevent unauthorized use or damage, out of the reach of children.
• Never douse or squirt the unit with water or any other liquid. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from debris. Clean after each use, see Cleaning
and Storage instructions.
• Keep these instructions. Refer to them often and use them to instruct other users. If you loan someone this unit, also loan them these
instructions.
Specific Rules for Blower/Vacuums
• Do not use the machine to pick up humid material, water, liquids, pieces of glass, iron, stones, or tin cans, this could be extremely dangerous for
you and the machine.
• Do not use the machine to pick up hot embers or material which is burning, smoking, or smouldering. Do not use the machine to pick up lit
cigarettes. Do not use the machine to pick up material which has been contaminated by flammable or explosive materials. Do not suck in highly
flammable fumes. Always check that the material picked up by your machine is not flammable, toxic, or explosive.
• Do not use the vacuum mode without the dust bag in place.
• Always keep the area to be cleaned free from wires, stones, debris, tin cans, and other obstacles.
• Avoid colliding with hard objects which could damage your machine.
• Keep bystanders and animals at least 5m away from the working area.
• Do not manually insert objects into the blower/vacuum tube.
• Do not insert your hands and fingers into the vacuum opening or exhaust opening.
• Hold the machine firmly in both hands when working with it.
• The machine must not be used by anyone under the age of 16.

Connecting the Vacuum
1. Loosen the Cage Screw and pull down the Cage (Fig.6).
2. Install vacuum attachments in sequence as shown, aligning the grooves on the nozzles with the pegs. Slide
the nozzles clockwise onto the pegs, Tighten the screw in place to secure (Fig.7).

3. Rotate the connector pipe clockwise to lock, the arrowhead on the connector pipe should be on the same
line with the case. Tighten the screw in place to secure (Fig.8).
4. Insert the connector pipe into the side opening of the vacuum bag. Wrap the Velcro strap around the bag

Operation
IMPORTANT! Do not vacuum, gravel, rocks, pebbles, or any stones. Doing so may cause internal
damage.
Starting
1. Fill the fuel tank with the amount of fuel/oil mixture needed for the job.
2. Turn switch to the ON position (“I”), (Fig.10).
3. (ONLY FOR COLD ENGINE START) Pull the choke to the fully extended position so that the choke is
closed (Fig.11).

4. Press and release the primer bulb 7-10 times until it is full of fuel (Fig.12).
5. Place the unit firmly on the ground or on a very sturdy work surface. Make sure all bystanders are a
minimum of 50 feet (15m) away. Do not attempt to start near pilot lights or any open flame. Do not smoke.
Grasp the Starter Rope with one hand and press the engine cover with the other, pull the starter rope slowly
until you feel the engine engage and then start the machine by pulling the starter rope upwards briskly.
The unit should start within 5 pulls, then make the choke full open (Fig.13). Once warm, the engine should
start on the first pull. If it fails to start, re-prime the bulb and ensure the choke lever is in the correct position
(Fig.14).
6. Squeeze the throttle control slightly to warm up the engine for 15 to 30 seconds. In cold weather, move the
throttle slowly until the engine warms up for 30 to 60 seconds.
NOTE: When starting the engine in hot or cold conditions it may be necessary to squeeze the throttle open while
pulling the starter rope.

When the Engine Starts:
For maximum performance and operating life, allow the engine to warm-up before use.
1. Run the engine for 2-3 minutes at idle speed until the operating temperature is reached.
2. As the engine warms-up, open the choke gradually by slowly pushing the choke control into the fully
retracted position.
3. The engine should now be ready for use.
If the Engine Does Not Start:
Repeat the appropriate starting procedures. If the engine still will not start, follow the Starting a Flooded Engine
instructions below.
Starting a Flooded Engine
1. Disconnect the spark plug lead and use the spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug in an anti-clockwise
direction (Fig.15).
2. If the spark plug is fouled or is soaked with fuel, clean or replace the plug, as required.
3. Clear any excess fuel from the combustion chamber by cranking the engine several times while the spark
plug is removed.
4. Install the spark plug and firmly tighten it with the spark plug wrench. If a torque wrench is available, torque
the spark plug (16,7 – 18,6 Nm). Reconnect the spark plug lead.

Stopping
1. Release your hand from the throttle control. Allow the engine to cool down by idling.
2. If your unit is equipped with a spring loaded ON/ OFF switch, press, and hold the button to the “O” position
until the unit stops. Otherwise, push the switch to the OFF position.
WARNING! If the engine continues to run with the ignition button in the “OFF” position, stop the
engine by pulling the choke out to the fully closed position or opening the cage.
Blower Mode
Before operating the unit, check for the following: The operator is
wearing proper clothing, eye, and ear protection. All blower
attachments should be properly installed and secure.
1. Start the unit.
2. Direct the nozzle in the direction in which to blow (Fig.16).
3. Pull the throttle control.
4. Set the throttle lock at any desired speed by pushing the knob to the
lock position. To adjust throttle speed, push the throttle lock to the
off position, adjust, and relock the throttle control.
Vacuum Mode
Before operating the unit, check for the following: All vacuum
attachments should be properly installed and secure. Make sure
Mulch Collection Bag is not twisted or constricted in any way.
1. Start the unit.
2. Place collection bag strap over the left shoulder and adjust the strap
as necessary (Fig.17).
3. Pull the trigger to start the vacuum.
4. Set the throttle lock at desired speed.
5. Empty the bag as necessary by removing it from unit and opening
the zipper located at the top edge.
NOTE: Do not operate this unit with the cage side up or the
handle side down. When operating the unit for collecting, if the
entrance of the collecting pipe is jammed with lots of leaves, do slow
down the engine speed, and then make the pipe clean immediately, or
else it will seriously damage your machine.
Oil and Fuel Mixing Instructions
1. Fuel used for this model is a mixture of unleaded fuel and approved 2-stroke oil. When mixing fuel with two-
stroke engine oil, use only 90 octane or higher unleaded petrol known to be of good quality. This will help to
avoid possible damage to engine fuel lines and other engine parts.
2. When preparing fuel mixture, mix only the amount needed for the job you are to do. Always use fresh fuel/oil
mixture for optimum performance of your unit. Stale fuel mixture will lead to difficulty in starting your unit and
poor performance. Do not use fuel that has been stored. Two-stroke fuel may separate. Shake fuel container
thoroughly before each use.

3. Thoroughly mix the correct ratio of 2-stroke engine oil with unleaded petrol in a separate container.
4. Pour the mixture into the fuel tank of the unit. Be careful not to overfill the tank.
5. Replace the fuel cap.
WARNING! Failure to follow proper fuel mixing instructions may cause damage to the engine. Do
not smoke while filling the tank. Never operate this machine without the fuel cap securely in
place. Do not mix fuel and oil directly into the engine fuel tank of the unit. Never fill the fuel tank to the
very top. Never add fuel to the tank in a closed non-ventilated area. Keep sparks and open flames at a
distance from the work area. Be sure to wipe off spilled fuel before attempting to start the engine. Do not
attempt to refuel a hot engine.
Engine Adjustments
The idle speed of the engine is adjustable. An idle adjustment screw is on the rear side of the carburettor, you
could adjust the idle speed of the engine with a socket spanner through the hole of the engine cover (Fig.18).
NOTE: Careless adjustments can seriously damage your unit. An authorised service dealer should be the only
one to make carburettor adjustments.
Adjusting the Engine Idle Speed
IMPORTANT! The machine pipes and air vent cover must be installed while adjusting the engine
idle speed. The Engine idle speed will also be affected if either the air vent cover or machine
pipes are blocked, damaged, or incorrectly installed.
If, after checking the fuel and cleaning the air filter, the engine still will not idle, adjust the idle speed screw as
follows:
1. Start the engine and let it run at a high idle for a minute to warm up. Refer to Starting.
2. Release the throttle trigger and let the engine idle. If the engine stops, use a small Philips or at blade to turn
the idle speed screw in, clockwise, 1/8 of a turn at a time (as needed) until the engine idles smoothly
(Fig.18).
NOTE: Checking the fuel, cleaning the air filter, and adjusting the idle speed should solve most engine problems.
If not and all the following are true:

The engine will not idle.
•
The engine hesitates or stalls on acceleration.

There is a loss of engine power.
Check the spark plug for proper gap and condition. If problem still occurs, have the carburettor adjusted by an
authorised service dealer.
Maintenance
Some maintenance procedures may require special tools or skills. If you are unsure about these
procedures, take your unit to an authorised service dealer. Never do maintenance or repairs with
the unit running. Always do maintenance and repairs on a cool unit. Disconnect the spark plug wire to
ensure the unit will not start.

Checking the Air Filter
This should be done more frequently in dusty/dirty conditions.
1. Accumulated dust in the air filter will reduce engine efficiency, increase fuel consumption, and allow abrasive
particles to pass into the engine. Remove the air filter as often as necessary to maintain it.
2. Light dust coatings on the surface can easily be removed by gently tapping the filter.
3. Heavy deposits should be washed out with a suitable solvent.
4. Remove the filter cover by pressing the part of the inside cover, as shown in Fig.20.

Checking the Spark Plug
1. Use the spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug (turn
anti-clockwise to remove) (Fig.15).
2. Clean and adjust the spark plug gap to 0.6-0.7mm
(Fig.21). Replace any damaged or visibly warn spark plug.
3. Install the spark plug in the cylinder head, and then tighten
it firmly with the spark plug wrench. If a torque wrench is
available, torque the spark plug to 148-165 inch/pounds
(16,7 – 18,6 Nm).
WARNING! Never allow dirt or debris to enter the cylinder bore. Before removing the spark plug,
thoroughly clean the spark plug and cylinder head area. Allow the engine to cool before
servicing the spark plug. Incorrect spark plug installation can result in serious engine damage.
Checking the Fuel Filter
1. The fuel tank is fitted with a filter. The filter is situated at the
free end of the fuel pipe and can be picked out. (Fig.22).
2. Check the fuel filter periodically. Do not allow dust to enter
the fuel tank. A clogged filter will cause difficulty in starting
the engine or abnormalities in engine performance.
3. When the filter is dirty, replace the filter.
4. When the inside of the fuel tank is dirty, it can be cleaned by
rinsing the tank out with petrol.
Lubrication
1. Remove the spark plug.
2. Pour approximately 7ml of oil into the cylinder through the
spark plug hole.
3. Before reinstalling the spark plug, pull the recoil starter 2 or 3 times to distribute the oil over the cylinder
walls.

Cleaning, Storage and Transporting
Cleaning
•
Use a small soft brush to clean the outside of the unit. Do not use strong detergents. Household cleaners
that contain aromatic oils such as pine and lemon, and solvents such as kerosene, can damage plastic
housing or handle. Wipe off any moisture with a soft cloth.
•
Empty the vacuum bag. Turn it inside out and shake off any excess debris. Hand wash the empty vacuum
bag annually with soapy water and allow to air dry.
Storage
•
Never store the unit with fuel in the tank.
•
Allow the engine to cool before storing.
•
Lock up the unit to prevent unauthorised use or damage.
•
Store the unit in a dry, well-ventilated area.
•
Store unit out of reach of children.
Long Term Storage
Should the unit be stored for an extended time, use the following storage procedure:
1. Drain all fuel from the fuel tank. Do not store mixed fuel for more than 60 days.
2. Start the engine and allow it to run until it stalls. This ensures that all the fuel has been drained from the
carburettor.
3. Allow the engine to cool.
4. Thoroughly clean the unit and inspect for any loose or damaged parts. Repair or replace damaged parts and
tighten loose screws, nuts, or bolts. The unit is ready for storage.
Transporting
•
Allow the engine to cool before transporting.
•
Secure the unit while transporting.
•
Tighten the fuel cap before transporting.
