IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your Kenmore Digital Air Fryer Toaster Oven, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
2. Before using the appliance for the rst time, remove any packaging material, promo-
tional labels, and stickers. Safely dispose of plastic bags or small pieces that could
present a suocation or choking hazard to young children.
3. Before using, check that the voltage of the wall outlet corresponds to the one shown
on the rating plate. Do not attempt to use the appliance with a voltage converter. To
prevent overloading the electrical circuit, operate the convection oven on a separate
circuit from other appliances.
4. POLARIZED PLUG: This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will t in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not t, contact a qualied electrician. DO NOT attempt to alter the plug in any way
to make it t.
5. SHORT CORD: This appliance is designed with a short power cord (or detachable cord)
to reduce the risk of injury or property damage from tripping, pulling, or entanglement.
It can be used with an extension cord provided you observe the following safeguards:
a. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the appliance;
b. The cord should be arranged so it will not drape over the edge of a countertop or
table where it could be pulled on by children or tripped over.
6. Do not attempt to operate the appliance if there is damage to the cord or plug, after
it has malfunctioned or been dropped or damaged in any way, or if it is not operating
properly. Take the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination
and adjustment or repair.
7. Always unplug the appliance from the power source and let it cool completely before
cleaning, putting on or taking o parts, or storing. To unplug, press the START/CANCEL
button and then grasp plug and pull it from the electrical outlet; never unplug it by
pulling on the power cord.
8. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the convection oven body, control
panel, power cord, or electrical plug in any liquid. If the appliance falls into or accidental-
ly becomes immersed in water, immediately unplug it from the wall outlet. DO NOT
REACH INTO THE WATER.
9. When deciding where to set up your convection oven, observe the following
safeguards:
a. Do not use near the edge of a counter or table or on an unstable, wet or uneven
surface;
b. Do not use on or near a hot surface such as a stovetop or in a heated oven;
c. Do not use on a metal surface such as a sink drain board;

15. Regularly clean the convection oven and accessories using the cleaning instructions
in this manual. Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads that could scratch the
