REPLACING AND ADJUSTING THE
SKID SHOES (Fig. 15)
When encountering uneven or gravel
surfaces, the height of the skid shoes
need to be adjusted to increase the ability
of the snow blower to maneuver on the
snow.
When the skid shoes are broken or the
maximum height adjustment does not
meet requirement, replace the skid shoes.
Required tool (not included):
one 15 mm socket wrench
To replace the skid shoes (Fig. 15a)
1. Remove the battery pack(s).
2. Loosen and remove the nuts, gaskets,
the skid shoe, and bolts on the side of
the deck.
3. Replace the skid shoe with a new one.
4. Reassemble nuts, gaskets, and bolts.
Securely tighten them.
NOTE: When one side of the skid shoe
shows signs of wear, reverse it to use the
other side for maximum bar life (Fig. 15b).
To adjust the height of skid shoes
(Fig. 15c)
When encountering uneven or gravel
surfaces, the height of the skid shoes
need to be adjusted to increase the ability
of the snow blower to maneuver on the snow.
The height of the skid shoes can be adjusted according to the actual snow conditions
without removing the nuts. Just loosen the nuts, adjust the skid-shoe position, and then
retighten the nuts.
