1. SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure all preliminary checks are carefully carried out before using fuel tank cradle support and transmission jack.
WARNING! Follow all of the safety instructions issued with the fuel tank support and transmission jack.
WARNING! Ensure load is placed level and centrally on the fuel tank cradle support and is fixed in place before attempting to
lift, lower, or transport load. Always use load restraint strap and attachments to stabilise and secure the load to the fuel tank
support.
9 Follow manufacturer’s technical instructions for safe removal of fuel tank.
9 Before use ensure the Fuel tank weight and size DO NOT exceed the capacity of the fuel tank support or the transmission jack.
9 Follow normal workshop procedures regarding fuel tank drainage and fuel tank petrol / diesel safety.
9 Always have an approved fire extinguisher available.
9 The fuel tank support is heavy, care should be taken when placing onto the transmission jack.
9 Ensure that the sliding bracket and chain mount bracket nuts and bolts are fully tightened when the fuel tank support is loaded.
9 Care should be taken when using the fuel tank support and vertical transmission jack in conjunction with a vehicle lift to ensure that the
vehicle is not lowered whilst the jack is in position.
9 Always use grounding cables provided.
9 Ensure tank is centred to jack and securely fastened to the adapter using the straps provided.
9 Before storing ensure fuel tank support is clean and free of grease and oil.
9 Store in a safe, dry childproof location.
8 DO NOT use the fuel tank support without restraint strap.
8 DO NOT replace the strap with an inferior form of restraint.
8 DO NOT allow untrained persons to use the fuel tank support.
8 DO NOT use fuel tank adapter near open flames, heat sources or spark.
8 DO NOT move the transmission jack, with or without a load, with the fuel tank support in the raised position.
8 DO NOT use the fuel tank support for any purpose other than for vehicle fuel tanks.

Made for automotive and light commercial fuel tanks up to 40 gallons capacity. (Tanks must be emptied before handling.) Four

4.2. The adapter must be secured to the transmission jack with the four bolts provided in the hardware kit.
4.3. This adapter should only be used on passenger cars and light trucks. The maximum weight of the fuel tank is 565kg and maximum
4.4. tank size is 40 gallons.
4.5. Once the adapter has been securely fastened to the transmission jack, it can be raised or lowered using the hydraulics of the
transmission jack.
4.6. REMOVING FUEL TANK
4.7. Drain all fuel from tank into an approved storage tank.
4.7.1. Ground the adapter to the transmission jack, and the transmission jack to earth using the two grounding cables provided.
4.7.2. Centre tank to the four pads on the adapter (the pads can be adjusted to better distribute the load, ensure the load is centred to the
transmission jack)
4.7.3. Place the two safety straps around the tank and secure the hook to the adapter, tightening the strap with the ratchet mechanism.
4.7.4. Remove all fuel tank fixings. Ensure that the fuel tank is stable on the support. Detach fuel tank and lower from underside of the
vehicle.
4.8. REFITTING FUEL TANK.
4.8.1. Secure the repaired/new fuel tank to the support plates using the strap. Ensure that the brackets and the mount brackets are in a position
to best support the fuel tank and all the nuts are fully tightened.
4.8.2. Raise the fuel tank into the required position underneath the vehicle.
4.8.3. When the fuel tank is in position and properly aligned with its fixing straps / holes, insert all bolts finger tight before progressively
tightening them to the correct specified torque settings. (See vehicle service manual).
4.8.4. Remove strap from fuel tank and lower support away from underside of vehicle.
5. 5. MAINTENANCEMAINTENANCE
5.1. Periodically lubricate the fuel tank support pivot points and the adjuster bolts.
5.2. Regularlycheckallxingsforcorrecttightness.
