Cooktop Surface
Toavoid damaging the porcelain enamel
surface of the cooktop and to prevent it
from becoming dull,clean up spillsright
awag. Foodswith a lot of acid (tomatoes,
sauerkraut, fruit juices,etc.)or foods with
high sugar content could cause a dull spot
if allowed to set.
When the surface has cooled, wash and
rinse. For other spills such as fat spatterings,
etc., wash with soap and water once the
surface has cooled. Then rinse and polish
with a drg cloth.
Be careful when gou clean the cooktop
because the area over the pilot will be hot
(on models with standing pilots).
NOTE:Donot store flammable materials
in an oven or nearthe cooktop. Donot
storeor usecombustible materials,
gasolineor other flammable vapors and
liquidsin the vicinity ofthis or any other
appfiance.
NOTE:Donot lift the cooktop on sealed
burner models.Lifting thecooktop canlead to
damage and improper operation of therange.
Stainless Steel Surfaces (on some models)
Do not use a steel wool pad; it wilt scratch
the surface.
Tocleanthe stainless steel surface,
usewarm sudsgwater or a stainless steel
cleaner or polish.Alwagswipe the surface in
the direction of the grain. Followthe cleaner
instructions for cleaningthe stainlesssteel
surface.
