Burner Caps and Heads (onsealedburnersonlg)
NOTE: Before removing the burner cops
and heads, remember their size and
location. Replace them in the same
location after cleaning.
Replacement
Replaceburner heads overthe electrodes
on the cooktop, in the correct locations
according to their size.
Use a sewing needle or twist-tie
to unclog the small hole in the
burner head
Burner caps
Lift off when cool. Wash burner caps
in hot, soapy water and rinsewith clean
waten Youmay scour with a plastic scouring
pad to remove burned-on food particles.
Burner heads
Forproper ignition, make surethe small
hole in the sectionthat fits overthe electrode
is kept open.A sewing needleor wire tvdst-tie
works well to unclog it.
The slits in the burner heads must be kept
cleon at all times for an even, unhampered
flame
Cloggedor dirty burner ports or electrodeswill
not allow the burner to operateproperly.
Ang spillon or around an electrode must
be carefullg cleaned.Takecare to not hit
an electrode with angthing hard or it could
be damaged.
Youshould cleanthe burner caps and
burner heads routinelg, especiallgafter bad
spillovers,which could clogthe openings
in the burner heads.Lift affwhen cool.
Toremove burned-on food, soak the burner
heads in a solution of mild liquid detergent
and hot water for 20-30 minutes. Formore
stubborn stains, usea toothbrush.
After cleaning
Beforeputting the burner caps and heads
back, shake out excesswater and then drg
them thoraughlg bg setting in a warm oven
for 50 minutes.
NOTE:Do notusesteel wool or scouring
powders to dean theburners.
Hake surethe slot in the burner head is
positioned overthe electrode.
Replacethe matching sizecaps onto the
heads.Thereisone small,two medium and
one large cap. Sizesare stamped intothe
bottom ofthe caps.
Hake surethat the heads and caps are
replaced in the correct locations.
