Switch the picture quality and recording format of the motion pictures to record. The recording
formats that can be set change according to [REC FORMAT] setting.
When [REC FORMAT] is set to [AVCHD]
A Favors image quality
B Favors Recording time
When [REC FORMAT] is set to [MP4/iFrame]
*1 You can record motion pictures in 1080/60p (1920k1080/60 progressive), the best AVCHD
picture quality for this unit.
*2 [1080/50M]/[1080/28M] and [720] are recording modes suitable for playing back or editing on a
PC.
*3 [iFrame] is a format suitable for Mac (iMovie etc.). It is recommended for when using a Mac.
Please refer to page 13 for details about recordable time using the battery.
Use an SD card conforming to Class 10 of the SD Speed Class Rating when you want to
record motion pictures to the SD card using the setting [1080/50M].
This function’s default setting is [HG] mode.

When the unit is moved a lot or moved quickly, or when a fast-moving subject is recorded,
mosaic-type noise may appear at playback.
