Setting the S_ow Cook Feature
The SLOW COOK _) pad is used to activate this feature, The SHowCook feature may be used to cook foods
more
showily,at Howeroven temperatures and provides cooking resuHtsmuch the same way as a SHow Cooker or Crock-Pot,
The SHowCook feature is ideaHfor roasting beef, pork & pouHtry, SHowCooking meats may resuHtin the exterior of meats
becoming dark but not burnt, This is normal
There are 2 settings avaHabHe, high (HI) or How(LO). The high setting is best for cooking foods from a 4 to 5 hour time
period. The Howsetting is best for cooking foods from a 8 to 9 hour time period. The maximum cook time for the SHow
Cook feature is 12 hours unHess the oven controH has been changed to the Continuous Bake mode. This feature may be
used with the additionaH settings of a Timed Bake or a Delayed Start (DeHayed Timed Bake).
Some tips you should review for best possible resutts using Stow Cook feature:
* CompHeteHythaw aHHfrozen foods before cooking with the SHowCook,
* When using a singHe rack, pHacein position 2 or 3,
* Position muHtipHeracks to accommodate size of cooking utensiHs when cooking muHtipHefood items,
o Do not open the oven door often or Heavethe door open when checking foods, Hfthe oven heat escapes often, the
SHowCook time may need to be extended,
o Cover the foods to keep them moist or use a Hoose or vented type cover to aHHowfoods to turn crisp or brown,
* Roasts may be Heftuncovered so browning can occur, Cook times wiHHvary; depending on the weight, fat content,
bone & the shape of the roast,
* Use the recipe's recommended food temperature and a food thermometer to determine when the food is done,
o Preheating the oven wiHHnot be necessary when using the SHow Cook feature,
o Add any cream or cheese sauces during the Hasthour of cooking,

To Program the Oven to begin baking with the S_ow
Cook feature

SHowCook feature with a Howsetting, "SLO" and "LO" wiHH
appear in the dispHay (Figure 2), This setting is best for cooking
foods from a 8 to 9 hour time period,
