Explosion Hazard
Keep flammable materials and vapors, such as gasoline,
away from dryer.
Place dryer at least 18 inches (46 cm) above the floor for
a garage installation.
Failure to do so can result in death, explosion, or fire.
If installing a gas dryer:
IMPORTANT: Observe all governing codes and ordinances.
[] Check code requirements: Some codes limit or do not permit
installation of clothes dryers in closets or sleeping quarters.
Contact your local building inspector.
[] Make sure that lower edges of the cabinet, plus the back and
bottom sides of the dryer, are free of obstructions to permit
adequate clearance of air openings for combustion air. See
"Recessed Area and Closet Installation Instructions" below for
minimum spacing requirements.
NOTE: The dryer must not be installed in an area where it will be
exposed to water and/or weather.

NOTE: Check code requirements. Some codes limit or do not
permit installation of clothes dryers in garages, closets, mobile
homes, or sleeping quarters. Contact your local building
inspector.
[] Refer to the chart for recommended installation requirements.
This will ensure you have adequate clearance for service and

air, and that you have a sufficient distance from combustible
construction.
[] Be sure your location allows for proper exhaust installation.
See "Exhaust Requirements."
[] Unobstructed air openings are required for coin-operated
stacked dryers when a door is installed. Door must have two
centered openings as illustrated. Both openings must provide
a minuimum of 72" 2 (183 cm2).
NOTE: No other fuel-burning appliances may be installed in the
same closet as a dryer.
Use recommended clearance for easier installation
