PorcelainEnamelCooktop(onsomemodels)
Tile porcelain enamel finish is sturdy
but breakable if misused. This finish is
aci&resistant. However; any acidic foods
spilled (such as fl'uitj uices, tomato or
vinegar) should not be pemfitted to remain
on the finish.
If acids spill on tile cooktop while it is hot,
use a d1T paper towel or cloth to wipe it up
fight awa> _._]/en the s/u_ilce has cooled,
wash with soap and watei: Rinse well.
For other spills such as tilt spatterings, wash
with soap and water or cleansing powdei_
after tile smtilce has cooled. Rinse well.
Polish with a dry cloth.

Lift-UpCooktop(onsomemodels)
Some models have a cooktop that can be
lifted tlI) tot easier cleaning. The entire
cooktop may be lifted 11I) and supported
in tile 11I) position.
The suitilce units do not need to be
i"eliloved; howevei; you lIlay rel/love one to
make raising the cooktop easiei: Theie are
two side supports that lock into position
when the cooktop is lifted iii).
_Mter cleaning under tile cooktop with hot,
mild soapy water and a clean cloth, lower
the cooktop. Be careflll not to pinch your
fingei_.
To lower the cooktop, push the rods back
and gently lower the cooktop until it rests
in place.
NOTE:Do not hft the cooktoponradiant top models.

Besureaft thecontrolsare turnedto OFFand the
surface unitsare coolbeforeattempting to remove
them.
To clean tile surlilce units, turn tile control
to the highest setting tot a minute. The (xfils
will b11i"11off anv soil.
Toremovea surfaceunit:
To remove tile drip pans for cleaning, tile
surlilce units must be removed fii_t.

Toreplace a surface unit:
Replace the drip pan into file recess in the
cooktop. Make sure the opening in tile pan
lines 1/1)_ith tile receptacle.
Insert tile temfinals of tile sudilce unit
through tile opening in tile (1IiI) pan and
into tile receptacle.
Guide the smtilce unit into place so it rests
evenl>

Drip Pans(onsomemodels)
Remove tile smthce units. Then lift out tile
drip pans.
Place them in a covered containei: Add
1/4 cup ammonia and let soak several
hom_ or overnight. Wash, rinse well
mid (h_'.
Tile drip pans may also be cleaned in tile
dishwasheI:
Clean tile area under tile drip pans often.
Btfilt-up soil, espedally grease, may catch fire.
Do not coverthe drippans with foil. Using foil so
close to thereceptaclecouldcause shock,fke or
damageto the range.
NOTE:Do not clean the drip pans in a
self-cleaningoven.
