4.1.2.1 Bluetooth Connection
Bluetooth pairing is recommended as the first choice for the communication between
the tablet and the MaxiVCI Mini. This is because the Bluetooth connection does not
need to repeat the plugging and unplugging procedure which is unavoidable when
using traditional wired connection, saving more time and providing higher efficiency.
The working range for Bluetooth communication is about 33 feet (about 10 m), enabling
remote vehicle diagnostics.

4.1.2.2 Mini USB Cable Connection
Use the provided Mini USB cable to connect the tablet to the MaxiVCI Mini. An USB
cable badge will display at the bottom-right corner of the VCI Manager shortcut and the
Connection LED on MaxiVCI Mini will light solid green when the connection between
the devices is successful.
4.1.3 No Communication Message
A. If the tablet is not connected to the MaxiVCI Mini correctly, an “Error” message may
display. This indicates that the tablet cannot access the vehicle control module. In
this case, please do the following check-ups:
Check if the MaxiVCI Mini is powered up.
Check if the MaxiVCI Mini is properly positioned.
Check if the Connection LED on the MaxiVCI Mini is illuminated for Bluetooth
or Mini USB cable connection.
In the case of Bluetooth connection, check if the network is configured
correctly, or if the right MaxiVCI Mini has been paired up with the tablet.
During the diagnosis process, if the communication is suddenly
interrupted due to the loss of signal, check if there is any object that
causes signal interruption.
Try standing closer to the MaxiVCI Mini to obtain more stable signals and
faster communication speed.
In the case of Mini USB cable connection, check the cable connection
between the tablet and the MaxiVCI Mini.
Check if the Power LED on the MaxiVCI Mini is flashing red and if so, it
indicates there is a hardware problem with the MaxiVCI Mini. In this case,
contact technical support for help.
B. If the MaxiVCI Mini is unable to establish a communication link, a prompt message
