4.3.2 USB Interface Connection

4.3.4 Environment
The USB adapts the short distance data transmission in the common lab and production environment.
4.4 RS232 Interface
The RS232 used in the instrument meets the standard of EIA-RS232.
4.4.1 Interface Voltage Level
Logic “0”: +5 V to +15 V;
Logic “1”: -5 V to -15 V.
4.4.2 Transmission Format
Each transmission frame consists of eleven bits: 1 start bit (logic “0”), 8 data bits (ASCII code), 1 index bit
(address logic = “1”, data logic = “0”), 1 stop bit (logic “1”).
4.4.3 Transmission Rate
In this instrument, the transmission rate is set to 19200 bits/s and can be reset in the software.
4.4.4 RS232 Interface Connection
Connect the RS232 connector on the rear panel to the COM1 or COM2 connector on the computer with a RS232
cable.
4.4.5 System Construction
In one system, the maximum number of connected instruments is 99 and the total length of connection cable
cannot exceed 100 meters.
4.4.6 Applications
The RS232 adapts the data transmission in the common lab and production environment without heavy electrical
interference.
