Remote control problems
• Make sure the remote control is set to the correct device
mode (e_ page 21).
• Remove all obstructions betweenthe remote control and the
TV.
• The remote control batteries may be dead. Replacethe
batteries (e_ page 20).
• Your TV remote control may not operate certain features on
your external device. Referto the owner's manual for your
other deviceto determine itsavailablefeatures. If your TV
remote control does not operatea specific feature on another
device, use the remote control that came with the device
(e_ pages 22-26).
• If the TV still does not act as expected, use the Reset Factory
Defaults procedure (e_ page 34).
Channel tuning problems
• Make sure the remote control is set to the correct device
mode (e_ page 21).
• The channel may have beenerasedfrom the channel memory
by the ChannelAdd/Delete feature.Add the channel to the
channel memory (_ page 30).
• The channel may be blocked by the Channels Blockfeature.
Unblock the channel(_ page 48).
• If you are unable to tune digital channels, check the antenna
configuration (_ page 29). If you are still unable to tune
digital channels, clear all channels from the channel list
(_ page31) and reprogram channels into the channel
memory (_ page 30). If you are still unable to tune digital
channels, use the Reset Factory Defaults procedure
(_ page34). Also see "TV stops responding to controls"
and "Other problems" (_ page 59).
Closed
caption problems
If the program or video you selected isnot closed-captioned,
no captions will display (e_ page43).
If text is not available, a black rectangle may appear. If this
happens, turn off the closed caption feature (e_ page 43).
A closed-caption signal may not display correctly inthe
following situations: a) when avideotape has beendubbed; b)
when the signal reception is weak; or c) when the signal
reception is nonstandard (_ page43).
Rating blocking (V-Chip) problems
• If you forget your PIN code: While the PIN code entering
screen is displayed, press ,_LL four times within 5 seconds.
The PIN code you previously stored will be cleared
(_ page46).
• TheV-Chip feature is availablefor the U.S.V-Chip system only
(_ page47).
No REGZA-LINKoperation
• The REGZA-LINKfeature is availablefor Toshiba REGZA-LINK
compatible devices.
• Make surethe HDMI cableswith the HDMI Logo (|4;i:3fTl|)
are used.
• When the connected REGZA-LINKdevice does not work
correctly after you havechanged settings of the device, turn
off your TVand unplug the power cord, then plug andturn on
again.
• If several devicesare connected, REGZA-LINKfeature may
not operate properly.
• Readthe instruction manualfurnished with the connected
REGZA-LINKdevice.
HDMI problems
For HDMI cables
• Make surethe HDMI cableswith the HDMI Logo (H_rn|)
are used (e_ page 16).
For Deep Color
• You should needto use Category 2 cableto work properly.
Normal HDMI cable or DVI cable may not work with this
option (e_ page 53).
For Legacy HDMI source
• Some of legacy HDMI sources may not work properly with
latest HDMI TV products, dueto new standard adoption.
Pleasetry to set Off the HDMI settings(Lip-Sync Latency,
DeepColor). Your legacy HDMI source should operate
properly with this TV products (e_ page 53).
