Flicker Scan
This function lets you shoot images with less icker from indoor LED lamps, by
changing the shutter speed incrementally while you check the degree of icker on the
live-view display.
While Flicker Scan is activated, if you want to use shooting functions such as aperture
adjustment or exposure compensation, press the INFO button to switch to another
setting screen.
To return to the Flicker Scan screen, press the INFO button repeatedly until the screen
switches.
Using Zoom AF display (P.41) makes the degree of icker easier to assess.
The range of shutter speeds that can be set is smaller when Flicker Scan is activated.
During still image shooting
The following option is added in the custom menus (MENU G U) (P.118).
Flicker Scan is available during Silent [] shooting, Pro Capture shooting, or High Res
Shot when the mode dial is set to S or M.
Option Description
z Flicker Scan
Set the option to [On], and use the front dial (r)/rear dial (o) or
FG on the arrow pad to adjust the shutter speed until icker is
reduced.
During movie recording
The following option is added in Video Menu (MENU n n Mode Settings)
(P.100).
Flicker Scan is available when the mode dial is set to n, and n Mode is set to S or
M.

Set the option to [On], and use the front dial (r)/rear dial (o) or
FG on the arrow pad to adjust the shutter speed until icker is
reduced.
Fisheye Compensation
This function compensates for the distortion from a sheye lens, allowing you to shoot
images resembling those taken with a super-wide-angle lens.
This function can only be set when you attach a supported sheye lens

detailed options. The angle (1 to 3), and [On]/[Off] for IH
Correction can be set.
