cuts of meat.

power: Power level l 0 will cook fi_ster
but food may need more fl'equent
stirring, rotating or tm'ning over.
A lower setting will cook more evenly
and need less stirring or rotating of the
file(l, Some file(Is may have better fla\'m;
texture or appearance if one of the lower
settings is used. Use a lower power level
when cooking leeds that have a tendency
to boil ove_; such as scalloped potatoes.
Rest periods (when the microwave
energy' cycles off) give time for the food
to "equalize" or transfer heat to the inside
of the fi)od. An example of this is shown
with power level,_-the defl'ost cycle.
