Evolution Kit Backup
MENU > System > Evolution Kit Backup
Upgrade your Samsung TV with the 2015 Evolution Kit for more benefits. However, this upgrade
requires backing up and converting existing data in your TV and apps accordingly to ensure they
remain on the upgraded device.
Connect a USB storage device to the TV.
2, In the System menu, select Evolution Kit Backup. The Evolution Kit Backup screen appears.
3, Select Start. Data in the TV will be backed up to the USB storage device.

4, When complete, select Done.
Update Recorded Programs
MENU > System > Update Recorded Programs
This function is only available for the U8500 series.
To watch a previously recorded program on Samsung TV with the 2015 Evolution kit, it is necessary to
convert the recorded program saved on a USB Drive to the Samsung TV format with the 2015 Evolution
kit.
Connect the recording USB device to the USB HDD 5V1A terminal.
2. In the System menu, select Update Recorded Programs. The Update Recorded Programs screen
appears.
3, Select Start. Start conversion so material is properly displayed on the TV.
4. When complete, select Done.
Enabling Game Mode
MENU>System>Generam>GameMode
Game Mode optimizes the TV's settings for playing video games on a gaming console such as
PlayStation TM or Xbox TM.
Game Mode cannot be used for normal TV viewing.
Connect the gamng console before enab ing Game Mode. Otherwise, the picture quality may suffer:,
The screen may shake a little.
