Setting the hedge cutter with articulated
arm
Warning!
The blades are very sharp. Do not take hold of the blade
with bare hands. Do not wipe the blades on your body.
The hedge cutter with articulated arm must not be
activated or used, if the cutting attachment is found in
storage/transport position.
Always wear gloves when you work with the hedge
cutter.
Place the hedge shear on a flat, even surface. While
doing so, the engine should be at the tank protection.
Make sure that the blade cover is put on.
1. Take hold of the handle with your right hand, which is
found directly behind the hand protection. Take hold of
the locking lever of the hedge cutter with your left hand,
see A 44.

Important! The locking device prevents that the latch
can be accidentally can be released.
2. Press the unlocking device with your left index finger.

3. Keep the locking mechanism pressed, turn the hedge
shear with the help of the locking lever until it is aligned
at the outer pipe (angle 180°). See A 46.

4. Let go of the unlocking and locking and make sure
that the release and locking are stopped again.
5. Remove the blade cover. Now you can start the
engine.
