Donotdefeatthesafetypurposeofthepolarizedorgroundingtypeplug.Apolarizedplughastwo

prong.Thewidebladeorthethirdprongareprovidedforyoursafety.Iftheprovidedplugdoesnotﬁt

intoyouroutlet,consultanelectricianforreplacementoftheobsoleteoutlet.

beendamagedinanyway,suchaspowersupplycordorplugisdamaged,liquidhasbeen

spilledorobjectshavefallenintotheapparatus,theapparatushasbeenexposedtorainor

moisture,doesnotoperatenormally,orhasbeendropped.

PowerSources—Thisproductshouldbeoperatedonlyfromthetypeofpowersourceindicated

onthemarkinglabel.Ifyouarenotsureofthetypeofpowersupplytoyourhome,consultyour

productdealerorlocalpowercompany.Forproductsintendedtooperatefrombatterypower,or

othersources,refertotheoperatinginstructions.

16) Overloading—Donotoverloadwalloutlets,extensioncords,orintegralconveniencereceptacles

asthiscanresultinariskofﬁreorelectricshock.

17) ObjectandLiquidEntry—Neverpushobjectsofanykindintothisproductthroughopeningsas

theymaytouchdangerousvoltagepointsorshortoutpartsthatcouldresultinaﬁreorelectric

shock.Neverspillliquidofanykindontheproduct.

18) DamageRequiringService—Unplugthisproductfromthewalloutletandreferservicingto

qualiﬁedservicepersonnelunderthefollowingconditions:

a) WhentheACcordorplugisdamaged,

b) Ifliquidhasbeenspilled,orobjectshavefallenintotheproduct,

c) Iftheproducthasbeenexposedtorainorwater,

19) ReplacementParts—Whenreplacementpartsarerequired,besuretheservicetechnicianhas

usedreplacementpartsspeciﬁedbythemanufacturerorhavethesamecharacteristicsasthe

PowerLines—Anoutsideantennasystemshouldnotbelocatedinthevicinityofoverheadpower

linesorotherelectriclightorpowercircuits,orwhereitcanfallintosuchpowerlinesorcircuits.

Wheninstallinganoutsideantennasystem,extremecareshouldbetakentokeepfromtouching

suchpowerlinesorcircuitsascontactwiththemmightbefatal.

Lightning—Foraddedprotectionforthistelevisionequipmentduringalightningstorm,orwhenitis

leftunattendedandunusedforlongperiodsoftime,unplugitfromthewalloutletanddisconnectthe

antenna.Thiswillpreventdamagetotheequipmentduetolightningandpowerlinesurges.

TheLiquidCrystalpanelisaveryhightechnologyproductwith8,294,400pixels,givingyoufine

picturedetails.Occasionally,afewnonactivepixelsmayappearonthescreenasafixedpointof

blue,greenorred.Pleasenotethatthisdoesnotaffecttheperformanceofyourproduct.

Heat—Theproductshouldbesituatedawayfromheatsourcessuchasradiators,heatregisters,

stoves,orotherproducts(includingamplifiers)thatproduceheat.

Thefrontpanelusedinthisproductismadeofglass.Therefore,itcanbreakwhentheproductis

droppedorappliedwithimpact.Becarefulnottobeinjuredbybrokenglasspiecesincasethepanel

breaks.

Ventilation—Theventsandotheropeningsinthecabinetaredesignedforventilation.Donotcover

orblocktheseventsandopeningssinceinsufficientventilationcancauseoverheatingand/orshorten

thelifeoftheproduct.Donotplacetheproductonabed,sofa,rugorothersimilarsurface,since

theycanblockventilationopenings.Thisproductisnotdesignedforbuiltininstallation;donotplace

theproductinanenclosedplacesuchasabookcaseorrack,unlessproperventilationisprovidedor

Selectingthelocation—Selectaplacewithnodirectsunlightandgoodventilation.

Stand—Donotplacetheproductonanunstablecart,stand,tripodortable.Placingtheproducton

anunstablebasecancausetheproducttofall,resultinginseriouspersonalinjuriesaswellasdamage

totheproduct.Useonlyacart,stand,tripod,bracketortablerecommendedbythemanufactureror
