SETTING OVEN CONTROLS

SETTING CONVECTION ROAST (UPPER
OVEN ONLY)
This mode is best for cooking tender cuts of beef, lamb,
park and poultry. Use this mode when cooking speed
is desired. The Convection Roasting gently browns the
exterior and seals in the juices. Convection roasting
uses the hidden bake element, the hidden convection
element, the broil element and a fan to circulate the
oven’s heat evenly and continuously within the oven. The
oven can be programmed for Convection Roasting at any
temperature between 170°F to 550°F (77°C to 288°C)
with a default temperature of 350°F (177°C).
ConvectionRoastingTips:
• Use a broiler pan and grid, and a roasting rack
(available by mail order). The broiler pan will catch
grease spills and the grid will help prevent spatters.
The roasting rack will hold the meat.
• Place an oven rack on rack position 1 (offset rack, if
available).
• No preheat is needed in convection roast.
• Make sure the roasting rack is securely seated on the
grid in the broiler pan. The roasting rack ts on the
insert allowing the heated air to circulate under the
food for even cooking and helps to increase browning
on the underside (available by mail order only).
• DO NOT use the broiler pan without the insert or cover
the insert with aluminum foil (available by mail order).
• Always pull the rack out to the stop position before
removing food.
• Position food (fat side up) on the roasting rack.
TosetaConvectionRoastTemperatureof375°F:
1. Arrange oven racks and place food in the oven.
2. Select the upper oven. Press UPPER.
3. Press CONVECT; "350" will be displayed; "CONV"
and "BAKE" will ash.
4. Press CONVECT again; "350" will be displayed;
"CONV" and "ROAST" will ash.
5. Enter the desired roasting temperature using the
number pads 375.
6. Press START. "CONV", "ROAST" and the fan icon will
be displayed. The Bake, Broil and Convection elements
will also cycle for a better heat distribution.
