Dji CP.PT.00000252.01 Questions and Answers

#1 How high does it fly ?

99 feet. But the risk at this altitude with this particular drone is pretty high. I've lost connection multiple times with the Tello, especially anywhere near power lines, which seems obvious, but when you lose connection, and it winds up near power lines by accident, you may have serious issues getting it down, or even better, witnessing it spin down in circles while you hope it doesn't wind up in the road. Anyway, about 100 foot is max, but be VERY well clear of any obstacle and be sure it's less than 5mph winds

#2 Does it have auto pilot ?

The drone does not have auto pilot per say. This is a toy drone that is pretty amazing though. It uses downward looking cameras to keep the drone in one place when you take your fingers of the control stick. It will hover in place until you command it to move. There is no gps just the downward cameras that lock onto a pattern and try to keep it there. Now, if it is too windy if your outside it may not be able to overcome the wind so don’t fly it on real, windy days outside. Also, don’t let it get to far away from you. It has a built in WiFi for communication but the range may be 100’. If it gets too far away it will stop but wind may push it further away. It is a fun drone and I usually fly mine indoors mostly
