This recorder is equipped with the
GUIDE Plus+ system. This system offers
a free interactive programme guide that
lists all the TV programmes available in
your area. Before you can enjoy this
feature, you have to de ne your
geographic location and your current
setup devices in order to receive correct
GUIDE Plus+ TV listing data.
A If you select to continue with the GUIDE
Plus+ installation, an introduction to the
GUIDE Plus+ system appears on the TV.
Press OK to continue.

B Follow the screen display to select or
enter the required information.

Select the country of your residence.
{ Postal code }
Enter your local local postal code.
Note: The postal code you enter must be
correct, and must represent a postal code
in the identi ed country. If not, you will
receive no or incorrect TV listings data.
{ External Receiver 1/2/3 }
This setting is only required if you have
connected external receiver (such as
satellite receiver, cable box) to this
recorder using the G-LINK transmitter.
Before you start, turn on your
external receiver and select channel
number 02.
1) Select { Yes } in the menu and press OK.
2) Select the type of reception { Cable /
Satellite / Terrestrial } and press OK.
3) Select the service provider and press
OK.
4) Select the brand of your external
receiver and press OK.
5) Identify the socket through which your
external receiver is connected to the
recorder (for example, ‘EXT 2’ for
EXT2-TO VCR/SAT socket) and press
OK.
6) Read the instructions on your TV and
press OK to continue.
7) The system is sending a code to your
external receiver via the G-LINK
transmitter. If your external receiver is
successfully changed to the programme
number indicated on the TV, select
{ Yes } and press OK to con rm.
Otherwise, select { No } to try a
different code.
8) Once complete, press OK to exit.
Note:
If none of the codes changes the
programme number successfully, tune you
external receiver to the host channel for
your country and leave it on overnight. See
the Host Channel table for details.
