[BD Secondary Audio]
[On]: Outputs the audio obtained by mixing
the interactive and secondary audio to the
primary audio.
[Off]
: Outputs the primary audio only. Select
this to output Bitstream (Dolby/DTS) signals
to a Sound Bar/AV amplifier (receiver).
To enjoy Bitstream (Dolby/DTS) signals, set [BD
Secondary Audio] to [Off] and [Digital Audio
Output] to [Auto].
[DTS Neo:6]
[Cinema]/[Music]: Outputs the simulated
multi-channel sound from 2 channel sources
via the HDMI OUT jack according to the
capability of the connected device using
[Cinema]/[Music] mode.
[Off]
: Outputs the sound with its original
number of channels via the HDMI OUT jack.
When [DTS Neo:6] is set to [Cinema] or [Music],
[DSEE HX] cannot be set to [On].
[48kHz/96kHz/192kHz PCM]
[48kHz]
/[96kHz]/[192kHz]: Sets the sampling
frequency for the PCM signals output from
the DIGITAL OUT (COAXIAL) jack.
Some device does not support [96kHz] and
[192kHz] sampling frequency.
[DSEE HX]
[On]: Upscales the audio file to a High-
Resolution Audio file and reproduces the
clear high-range sound which is often lost.
[Off]
: Turns off the function.
Source must be 2ch and 44.1/48 kHz.
[Audio DRC]
[Auto]
: Performs playback at the dynamic
range specified by the disc (BD-ROM only).
Other discs are played back at the [On] level.
[On]: Performs playback at a standard
compression level.
[Off]: No compression works. A more
dynamic sound is produced.
[Downmix]
[Surround]: Outputs audio signals with
surround effects. Select this when connecting
an audio device that supports Dolby
Surround (Pro Logic) or DTS Neo:6.
[Stereo]
: Outputs audio signals without
surround effects. Select this when
connecting an audio device that does not
support Dolby Surround (Pro Logic) or DTS
Neo:6.
For “Listening to Audio through a
BLUETOOTH® Device”, see page 17.
[Bluetooth Mode]
[On]
: Enables Bluetooth settings and
functions.
[Off]: Disables Bluetooth settings and
functions.
[Device List]
Displays a list of paired and detected
Bluetooth receivers when [Bluetooth Mode]
is set to [On].
[Bluetooth Codec - AAC] / [Bluetooth
Codec - LDAC]
This function is enabled when [Bluetooth
Mode] is set to [On].
[On]
: Enables AAC/LDAC codec.
[Off]: Disables AAC/LDAC codec.
This function is disabled during connection with
a Bluetooth device.
LDAC is an audio coding technology developed
by Sony that enables the transmission of High-
Resolution (Hi-Res) Audio content, even over a
Bluetooth connection. Unlike other Bluetooth
compatible coding technologies such as SBC, it
operates without any down-conversion of the
Hi-Res Audio content*, and allows
approximately three times more data** than
those other technologies to be transmitted over
a Bluetooth wireless network with
unprecedented sound quality, by means of
efficient coding and optimized packetization.
* Excluding DSD format contents.
** In comparison with SBC (Subband Coding)
when the bitrate of 990 kbps (96/48 kHz) or
909 kbps (88.2/44.1 kHz) is selected.
