SSID (Service Set Identifier) is a name that identifies a particular access point.

This information should be available from a label on your wireless LAN router/access point,
from the operating manual, from the person who set up your wireless network, or from the
information provided by your Internet service provider.
1. Select [Settings] - [Network Settings] - [Internet Settings].
2. Select [Wireless Setup].
3. Select [Select access point].
The HDD AUDIO PLAYER starts searching for available access points.
4. When the list of available network names (SSID) is displayed, select [Add a new
access point].
5. Select [Manual registration].
An input space for the network name (SSID) appears on the screen.
6. When the input space for the network name (SSID) is surrounded by a white
box, press ENTER.
An editing display and keyboard appear.
7. Enter the network name (SSID).
For details on how to use the keyboard, see “How to input characters.”
8. When the network name (SSID) is entered, select [Next].
9. Select the security mode of your wireless LAN router/access point from [None],
[WEP], [WPA/WPA2-PSK] or [WPA2-PSK] on the security mode selection
screen.
10. If you want to set up a security key, enter the security key (WEP/WPA) and then
select [Next].
Perform the same operations as step 7 to enter the security key (WEP/WPA).
11. Select either [Auto] or [Custom] on the selection screen for the IP address setup
method.
12. Follow the instructions that appear in the display to set up the connection.
