USER MANUAL Vacuum Cleaner

How to use as a stick Vac

1. SURROUND HANDLE TUBE WITH THE TWO HANDLE GRIP PIECES AND PRESS TOGETHER UNTIL YOU HEAR A CLICK. BE SURE THE TUBE IS BETWEEN THE HANDLES BEFORE THEY ARE CLICKED TOGETHER.

2. INSERT HANDLE TUBE INTO HAND VAC.

3. ATTACH FLOOR NOZZLE TO UNIT

4. WHEN FINISHED, WRAP CORD AROUND HOOKS FOR CONVENIENT STORAGE. ATTACH THE PLUG END TO THE CORD.

How to use

Empty and clean the unit and filter after each use or after large pickups when the unit becomes full.

  1. TO USE: SLIDE THE POWER SWITCH TO THE ON POSITION FOR STRAIGHT SUCTION, IDEAL FOR HARD FLOORS. SLIDE TO THE NEXT POSITION FOR THE BRUSH ROLL ON MODE, IDEAL FOR CARPET CLEANING.
  2. TO TURN UNIT OFF: SLIDE THE POWER SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION

LUBRICATION: The motor and brushroll are equipped with bearings which contain sufficient lubrication for their lifetime. The addition of lubricant could cause damage. Do not add lubricant to motor or brushroll.

NOTE: Filter is rinseable with water. Do not use soap/detergent. Let filter air dry for 24 hours or until completely dry. How to use as a stick Hand Vac

  1. SLIDE RELEASE BUTTON BACK THEN REMOVE HANDLE FROM UNIT.
  2. RELEASE NOZZLE BY PRESSING THE TAB ON THE BACK OF NOZZLE AND PULL UNITS APART.

Hand vac attachments

PET TOOL*

  1. UNPLUG BEFORE CONNECTING THE PET TOOL. ATTACH PET TOOL BY INSERTING INTO NOZZLE OPENING. TO REMOVE, PULL APART GENTLY.
  2. TO STORE PET TOOL, SNAP ONTO HANDLE TUBE.

Filter removal and replacement

TIP: To maintain performance, filter should be changed every 3-6 months, or as needed

1. DEPRESS THE DIRT CUP RELEASE BUTTON WHERE IT SAYS FILTER.

2. HOLD DIRT CUP OVER A WASTEBASKET. GRASP FILTER AND GENTLY PULL OUT FILTER BASKET.

3. SHAKE DIRT AND DEBRIS OUT OF DIRT CUP.

4. REMOVE THE FILTER FROM THE FILTER BASKET. BRUSH THE DUST AND DIRT OFF THE FILTER, OR SHAKE THE FILTER INSIDE OF THE WASTEBASKET.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, turn power switch off before cleaning or servicing.

Clean and rinse filter

1. HOLD FILTER UNDER RUNNING WATER TO RINSE. DO NOT USE SOAP/DETERGENT. ALLOW FILTER TO COMPLETELY DRY FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS BEFORE REPLACING IN DIRT CUP.

2. PUT FILTER BACK INTO THE FILTER BASKET AND PUT FILTER BASKET BACK INTO DIRT CUP

3. TO REATTACH DIRT CUP: ALIGN BOTTOM FIRST AND PIVOT DIRT CUP UNTIL IT SNAPS INTO PLACE.

Troubleshooting

Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, take it to a service center prior to continuing use

1. Cleaner won’t run

  1. Power cord not firmly plugged into outlet.
    • Plug unit in firmly.
  2. Needs service.
    • Call Customer Service: 1-800-321- 1134.

2. Cleaner won’t pick up or low suction

  1. Dirt cup not installed correctly.
    • Review dirt cup removal and replacement.
  2. Dirt cup full.
    • Empty dirt cup.
  3. Clogged filter.
    • Remove filter and clean.
  4. Dirt inlet tube clogged.
    • Remove nozzle; remove obstruction.

3. Dust escaping from cleaner

  1. Dirt cup full.
    • Empty dirt cup.
  2. Dirt cup not installed correctly.
    • Review dirt cup removal & replacement.
  3. Filter not installed correctly.
    • Review filter removal & replace- ment.
  4. Filter is dirty.
    • Clean filter or replace

4. Cleaner tools won’t pick-up

  1. Crevice tool clogged.
    • Remove crevice tool; remove obstruction.
  2. Dirt cup is full.
    • Empty dirt cup.
  3. Filter clogged.
    • Clean filter.

5. Brushroll will not turn

  1. Brushroll may have an obstruction.
    • Make sure unit is turned off and unplugged. Remove nozzle by pressing the nozzle release button and pulling the nozzle in a downward motion. Remove any debris clogged in the nozzle airpath. Reassemble nozzle to the product.
  2. Motor protection device tripped.
    • Turn product to off position, product will reset in approximately 30 minutes
  3. Broken belt.
    • Call for service: 1-800-321-1134
  4. Internal component damage.
    • Call for service: 1-800-321-1134

  • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run vacuum cleaner over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  • Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
  • Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air flow.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
  • Turn off all controls before unplugging.
  • Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. To avoid personal injury or damage, and to prevent the cleaner from falling, always place cleaner at bottom of stairs or on floor. Do not place cleaner on stairs or furniture, as it may result in injury or damage.
  • Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or fine wood sandings or use in areas where they may be present.
  • Always turn off this appliance before connecting or disconnecting motorized nozzle.
  • Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes.
  • Store the product indoors. Put the product away after use to prevent tripping accidents.
  • Do not use without filters and/or dirt cup in place.
  • WARNING: this product contains chemicals, known to the state of california to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. WASH HANDS AFTER USING.
  • Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative.
  • Do not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
