Maintaining your washer
Cleaning the exterior
Use a soft cloth to wipe up all detergent, bleach, or other spills as they occur.
Cleaning the interior
Clean the interior of your washer periodically to remove any dirt, soil, odor,
mold, mildew, or bacterial residue that may remain in your washer as a result
of washing clothes.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in unpleasant conditions,
including odors or permanent stains in your washer or on your laundry.
To remove hard water deposits, use a cleaner labeled “Washer safe.”
Cleaning the control panel
Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive powders or cleaning pads.
Do not spray cleaners directly on the panel. The control panel finish may be
damaged by some laundry pre-treatment soil and stain remover products.
Apply such products away from your washer and wipe up any spills or
over-spray immediately.
Cleaning the tub
Run a normal cycle with some bleach every month to clean the tub. This
will also help to remove mold which may occur inside your washer.
Cleaning the lint filter
Your washer has a built-in lint filter to help collect lint during the washing
cycle. It is recommended to clean the lint filter every 10 wash cycles.
1 Remove the lint filter from your washer, then clean it with water.
2 Reinsert the lint filter into your washer.
Notes:
Normal/Eco is the recommended wash cycle to wash up to a full load of normally
soiled cotton or linen clothing.
•The cycle (Normal/Eco on large load size and cold water temperature) has a much
longer spin time (44 minutes) than other cycles, which removes more water from
your clothes than other cycles, providing you with energy savings when drying
your clothes in your dryer.
Hot and warm water temperatures are the same when using Normal/Eco. If you
need a higher temperature wash, use a different program.
Caution: Turn off the water faucets after final use. This shuts off the water supply to
your washer and prevents the possibility of damage from escaping water. Leave the
lid open to let the inside of your washer dry out.
