Loading Cargo
Your vehicle was designed to carry cargo. However, carrying a load
that is too heavy or improperly loaded can adversely affect your
vehicle’s handling, stability, and stopping distance and make it
unsafe. Before carrying any type of cargo, be sure to read the
following pages.
See page 112 for guidelines on driving with cargo.
Load Limit
Maximum weight capacity = USA - 49 states, Canada,
Australia, New Zealand models:
1,649 lb (748 kg)
USA - 50 states [meets California]
models: 1,248 lb (566 kg)
This includes the weight of cargo, occupants, accessories, and trailer
tongue load.
Maximum cargo weight = USA - 49 states, Canada,
Australia, New Zealand models:
1,000 lb (454 kg)
USA - 50 states [meets California]
models: 600 lb (272 kg)
This includes all items in the cargo bed, any accessories, and the
tongue load if you are towing a trailer (see page 95).
