On the Sound Organizer
Refer to the help files of the Sound Organizer software, too.
The Sound Organizer software cannot be installed.
The f
ree disk or memory space on the computer is too small.
C
heck the hard disk and memory space.
Yo
u are trying to install the software into the operating system that the Sound
Organizer software does not support.
I
nstall the software into the supported operating system (
p. 107).
In W
indows XP, you have logged on using a user name belonging to a user account
with limitations. Or in Windows Vista or Windows 7, you have logged on using a
guest account.
M
a
ke sure to log on using a user name with computer administrator privileges.
The IC recorder cannot be properly connected.
Ch
eck that the installation of the software has been successful. Also check the
connection as follows:
W
hen using an external USB hub, connect the IC recorder directly to the
computer or use the supplied USB connection support cable.
Di
sconnect and then connect the IC recorder.
C
onnect the IC recorder to another USB port.
Y
our computer may be in the system standby/hibernate mode.
D
o not let your computer enter into the system standby/hibernate mode while
being connected to the IC recorder.
Sa
ve a backup copy of all of the data stored on the built-in memory or the memory
card, and then format the built-in memory or the memory card using the
formatting function in the menu (
p. 92).
Playback
sound from the computer is low./No sound is emitted from the
computer.
N
o sound board is installed.
N
o speaker is built-in or connected to the computer.
Th
e volume of the sound is turned down.
T
urn up the volume on the computer. (Refer to the instruction manual of the
computer.)
Th
e volume of WAV files can be changed and saved using the “Increase Volume
feature of the Microsoft Sound Recorder.
Stored files cannot be played back or edited.
Y
ou cannot play back files whose file format the Sound Organizer software does not
support. Depending on the file format, you cannot use part of editorial features of
the software. Refer to the help files of the Sound Organizer software.
