Preparing the kitchen units
Make a cut-out in the work surface with the dimensions
indicated.
If the hob is an electric or combination hob (gas and electric)
and there is no oven underneath, install an intermediate floor
made out of incombustible material (e.g. metal or plywood) 10
mm under the floor of the hob. This prevents access to the
bottom part of the hob. If the hob is a gas hob, it is
recommended to install the intermediate floor at the same
distance to the hob.
For work surfaces made of wood, seal the cutting surfaces with
special glue in order to protect them from moisture.
Installation of appliance
Remove the pan support, handles, burner cap and burner
heads.
Turn the appliance over carefully and place it on a soft cloth.
Make sure that the ignition parts are not damaged.
Stick the seal from the accessory kit provided to the bottom
edge of the hob.
To secure the appliance to the fitted unit:
1. Screw the installation screws from the accessory kit provided
into the lower hob plate.
Caution!
When fixing the installation screws in place, ensure that the
clips are firmly seated.
2. Insert and centre the hob in the cut-out of the work surface.
Keep pressing the edges down until the entire edge is resting
on the surface.
Setting up the appliance
The appliance must be set up directly on the kitchen floor
and in line with the specified dimensions. The appliance must
not be set up on any other object.
The distance between the top edge of the oven and the
bottom edge of the extractor hood must meet the
requirements of the extractor hood manufacturer.
Ensure that the appliance is not moved again after set up.
The distance from the high output burner or wok burner to
the fronts of adjacent units must be at least 50 mm.
The underside of the appliance heats up during operation.
Therefore, a guard plate must be fixed onto the underside of
the appliance.
