Shooting Close-Ups/Infinity Shots
Macro Mode
Use this mode to record subjects in the range of 10
to 57 cm (4 to 22 in.) from the tip of the lens
when set to wide angle and in the range of 27 to
57 cm (11 to 22 in.) when set to telephoto.
Infinity Mode
Use this mode to record landscapes and distant
objects. It can also be used for compositions
combining both near and distant objects.

The macro/infinity modes may be set while information about
current settings is displayed on the LCD monitor ( p. 26). When
the image information is not displayed, you can press any of the
the , / or / buttons buttons to activate the display.
Turning the power off will deselect the settings.
In macro mode, the parallax phenomenon may cause images
composed with the optical viewfinder to be off-center. Use the
LCD monitor to compose close-ups in macro mode.
