3. Ifyoudonotseeorsmellfuel,pushthered
resetbuttondown.Ifthebuttonisalreadyset,
youmayhaveadifferentmechanicalproblem.
4. TurntheignitionkeytotheONpositionfora
fewseconds,thenturnittotheOFFposition.
5. Checkunderthevehicleagainforleakingfuel.
Ifyouseeorsmellfuel,donotstartyour
vehicleagain.Ifyoudonotseeorsmellfuel,
youcantrytostartyourvehicleagain.
Fuses
Fuses(conventionalandhighcurrent)protectyour
vehicle’selectricalsystemfromoverloading.If
electricalpartsinyourvehiclearenotworking,the
systemmayhavebeenoverloadedandblowna
fuse.Beforeyoureplaceorrepairanyelectrical
parts,checktheappropriatefuses(conventionaland
highcurrent).
Thefollowingchartstellyouwhichfusesprotect
eachelectricalpartofyourvehicle.Ifafuseblows,
allthepartsofyourvehiclethatusethatcircuit
willnotwork.
Onceyouhavedeterminedwhichfusestocheck,
followtheproceduresunderCheckingand
replacingfusesinthischapter.
