designedtoactivatewhenthevehicleisina
collisionsimilartohittingafixedbarrierheadonat
8-14mph(13-23km/h).Thefactthattheairbags
didnotinflateinacollisiondoesnotmeanthat
somethingiswrongwiththesystem.Rather,it
meanstheforceswerenotofthetypesufficientto
causeactivation.
Ifthevehicleisinamoderateorseverefrontal
collision,thesystemisactivatedandtheairbags
inflaterapidly.Aftertheairbaginflates,itwill
