qualified in safe use and operation of this
equipment, including fuel/electrical handling
and safety.
Do NOT operate the equipment in
flammable or explosive environments, such
as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases, or dust. The equipment may create
sparks or heat that may ignite flammable
substances.
Keep clear of moving parts.
Equipment may be a potential source of
electric shock or injury if misused.
Do NOT operate the equipment if it is
damaged, malfunctioning or is in an
excessively worn state.
Do NOT allow others to use the equipment
unless they have read this manual and are
adequately trained.
Keep packaging away from children - risk
of suffocation! Operators must use the
equipment correctly. When using the
equipment, consider conditions and pay
due care to persons and property.
General Work Area Safety
Work areas should be clean and well it.
Do not operate the equipment if
bystanders, animals etc are within
operating range of the equipment or the
general work area.
If devices are provided for connecting dust
extraction / collection facilities, ensure
these are connected and used properly.
Dust collection can reduce dust-related
hazards.
General Personal Safety
Wear appropriate protective equipment
when operating, servicing, or when in the
operating area of the equipment to help
protect from eye and ear injury, poisoning,
burns, cutting and crush injuries. Protective
equipment such as safety goggles,
respirators, non-slip safety footwear, hard
hat, hearing protection etc should be used
for appropriate equipment / conditions.
Other people nearby should also wear
appropriate personal protective equipment.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery,
which can be caught in moving parts. Keep
hair and clothing away from the equipment.
Stay alert and use common sense when
operating the equipment. Do not over-
reach. Always maintain secure footing and
balance.
Do not use the equipment if tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol, or
medication.
This equipment is not intended for use by
persons with reduced physical, sensory, or
mental capabilities.
General Fuel Safety
Petrol/fuel/gasoline is extremely flammable
– keep clear of naked flames or other
ignition sources.
Do not spill fuel. If you spill fuel, wipe it off
the equipment immediately – if fuel gets on
your clothing, change clothing.
Do NOT smoke near fuel or when
refuelling.
Always shut off the engine before
refuelling.
Do NOT refuel a hot engine.
Open the fuel cap carefully to allow any
pressure build-up in the tank to release
slowly.
Always refuel in well ventilated areas.
Always check for fuel leakage. If fuel
leakage is found, do not start, or run the
engine until all leaks are fixed.
General Carbon-Monoxide Safety
Using a combustion engine indoors CAN
KILL IN MINUTES. Engine exhaust
contains carbon-monoxide – a poison you
cannot smell or see.
Use combustion engines OUTSIDE only,
and far away from windows, doors, and
vents.
General Equipment Use and Care
The equipment is designed for domestic
use only.
Handle the equipment safely and carefully.
Before use, inspect the equipment for
misalignment or binding of moving parts,
loose components, damage, or any other
condition that may affect its operation. If
damaged, have the equipment repaired by
an authorised service centre or technician
before use.
Prevent unintentional starting of the
equipment - ensure equipment and power
switches are in the OFF position before
connecting or moving equipment. Do not
carry equipment with hands or fingers
touching any controls. Remove any tools or
other items that are not a part of the
equipment from it before starting or
switching on.
Do not force the equipment. Use the
correct equipment for your application.
Equipment will perform better and be safer
when used within its design and usage
parameters.
Use the equipment and accessories etc. in
accordance with these instructions,
considering working conditions and the
work to be performed. Using the equipment
for operations different from those intended
could result in hazardous situations.
Always keep equipment components
(engines, hoses, handles, controls, frames,
housings, guards etc) and accessories
(cutting tools, nozzles, bits etc) properly
maintained. Keep the equipment clean and,
where applicable, properly lubricated.
Store the equipment out of reach of
children or untrained persons. To avoid
burns or fire hazards, let the equipment
cool completely before transporting or
storing. Never place or store the equipment
near flammable materials, combustible
gases, or liquids etc.
The equipment is not weather-proof, and
should not be stored in direct sunlight, at
high ambient temperatures or locations that
are damp or humid.
Do not clean equipment with solvents,
flammable liquids, or harsh abrasives.

General Electrical Safety
Inspect electrical equipment, extension
cords, power bars, and electrical fittings for
damage or wear before each use. Repair or
replace damaged equipment immediately.
Ensure all power sources conform to
equipment voltage requirements and are
disconnected before connecting or
disconnecting equipment.
When wiring electrically powered
equipment, follow all electrical and safety
codes.
Always use a Residual Current Device
(RCD) (GFCI) / Earth Leakage Circuit
Breaker / Safety Switch when operating this
item (electrical items only).
High voltage / high current power lines may
be present. Use extreme caution to avoid
contact or interference with power lines.
Electrical shock can be fatal.
General Electrical Safety
Electrically grounded equipment must have
an approved cord and plug and be
connected to a grounded electrical outlet.
Do NOT bypass the ON/OFF switch and
operate equipment by connecting and
disconnecting the electrical cord.
Do NOT use equipment that has exposed
wiring, damaged switches, covers or
guards.
Do NOT use electrical equipment in wet
conditions or in damp locations.
Do NOT use electrical cords to lift, move or
carry equipment.
Do NOT coil or knot electrical cords, and
ensure electrical cords are not trip hazards.
General Service Information
The equipment must be serviced or
repaired at authorised service centres by
qualified personnel only.
Replacement parts must be original
equipment manufacturer (OEM) to ensure
equipment safety is maintained.
Do NOT attempt any maintenance or repair
work not described in this manual.
After use, the equipment and components
may still be hot – allow the equipment to
cool and disconnect spark plugs and/or
electrical power sources and/or batteries
from it before adjusting, changing
accessories, or performing repair or
maintenance.
Do NOT adjust while the equipment is
running.
Perform service-related activities in suitable
conditions, such as a workshop.
Replace worn, damaged or missing
warning/safety labels immediately.

Carefully inspect anything a baby or child could gain access to, including this product & packaging.
Dangers include anything of a size that could become stuck or lodged in a baby or child's airway.
Dangers include things like raw, hard fruit and vegetable pieces, large pieces of meat, bones or sausage skins, popcorn, nuts,
hard lollies and corn chips, small magnets and batteries, coins, beads, marbles and small uninflated balloons, broken toys and smaller toys,
buttons, keys and coins. But there are also many more.
Pay particular attention to accessories, nuts, bolts, screws, washers, caps, covers, loose parts, parts that could be removed or break off, pieces
of packaging, staples, tape etc.
In the case of any doubt, secure the item of concern in an appropriate manner, or completely remove the possibility of access by a baby or child.
Work Area Safety
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks
which may ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical safety
Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric
shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling, or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of
electric shock.
If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the
risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.

Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or
carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energizing power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may
result in personal injury.
Do not overreach. Always keep proper footing and balance. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or
long hair can be caught in moving parts.
If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of these
devices can reduce dust related hazards.
Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can
cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
Power Tool Use and Care
Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for
which it was designed.
Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must
be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the
power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power
tools operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
Use the power tool, accessories, and tool bits etc., in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of
power tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from intended
could result in a hazardous situation.
Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe
handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.
Service
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool
is maintained.
Safety Regulations Concerning Mitre Saw
Mitre saws are intended to cut wood or wood-like products, they cannot be used with abrasive cut-off wheels for cutting ferrous material such as
bars, rods, studs, etc. Abrasive dust causes moving parts such as the lower guard to jam. Sparks from abrasive cutting will burn the lower guard,
the kerf insert and other plastic parts.
Use clamps to support the workpiece whenever possible. If supporting the workpiece by hand, you must always keep your hand at least 100mm
from either side of the sawblade. Do not use this saw to cut pieces that are too small to be securely clamped or held by hand. If your hand is
placed too close to the saw blade, there is an increased risk of injury from blade contact.
The workpiece must be stationary and clamped or held against both the fence and the table. Do not feed the workpiece into the blade or cut
“freehand” in any way. Unrestrained or moving workpieces could be thrown at high speeds, causing injury.
Push the saw through the workpiece. Do not pull the saw through the workpiece. To make a cut, raise the saw head and pull it out over the
workpiece without cutting, start the motor, press the saw head down and push the saw through the workpiece. Cutting on the pull stroke is likely
to cause the saw blade to climb on top of the workpiece and violently throw the blade assembly towards the operator.
Never cross your hand over the intended line of cutting either in front or behind the saw blade. Supporting the workpiece “cross handed” i.e.,
holding the workpiece to the right of the saw blade with your left hand or vice versa is very dangerous.
Do not reach behind the fence with either hand closer than 100mm from either side of the saw blade, to remove wood scraps, or for any other
reason while the blade is spinning. The proximity of the spinning saw blade to your hand may not be obvious and you may be seriously injured.
Inspect your workpiece before cutting. If the workpiece is bowed or warped, clamp it with the outside bowed face toward the fence. Always make
certain that there is no gap between the workpiece, fence, and table along the line of the cut. Bent or warped workpieces can twist or shift and
may cause binding on the spinning saw blade while cutting. There should be no nails or foreign objects in the workpiece.
Do not use the saw until the table is clear of all tools, wood scraps, etc., except for the workpiece. Small debris or loose pieces of wood or other
objects that contact the revolving blade can be thrown with high speed.
Cut only one workpiece at a time. Stacked multiple workpieces cannot be adequately clamped or braced and may bind on the blade or shift
during cutting.
Ensure the mitre saw is mounted or placed on a level, firm work surface before use. A level and firm work surface reduces the risk of the mitre
saw becoming unstable.
Plan your work. Every time you change the bevel or mitre angle setting, make sure the adjustable fence is set correctly to support the workpiece
and will not interfere with the blade or the guarding system. Without turning the tool ²ON² and with no workpiece on the table, move the saw blade
through a complete simulated cut to assure there will be no interference or danger of cutting the fence.
Provide adequate support such as table extensions, saw horses, etc. for a workpiece that is wider or longer than the table top. Workpieces longer
or wider than the mitre saw table can tip if not securely supported. If the cut-off piece or workpiece tips, it can lift the lower guard or be thrown by
the spinning blade.
Do not use another person as a substitute for a table extension or as additional support. Unstable support for the workpiece can cause the blade
to bind or the workpiece to shift during the cutting operation pulling you and the helper into the spinning blade.

The cut-off piece must not be jammed or pressed by any means against the spinning sawblade. If confined, i.e., using length stops, the cut-off
piece could get wedged against the blade and thrown violently.
Always use a clamp or a fixture designed to properly support round material such as rods or tubing. Rods tend to roll while being cut, causing the
blade to ²bite² and pull the work with your hand into the blade.
Let the blade reach full speed before contacting the workpiece. This will reduce the risk of the workpiece being thrown.
If the workpiece or blade becomes jammed, turn the mitre saw off. Wait for all moving parts to stop and disconnect the plug from the power
source and/or remove the battery pack. Then work to free the jammed material. Continued sawing with a jammed workpiece could cause loss of
control or damage to the mitre saw.
After finishing the cut, release the switch, hold the saw head down and wait for the blade to stop before removing the cut-off piece. Reaching with
your hand near the coasting blade is dangerous.
Hold the handle firmly when making an incomplete cut or when releasing the switch before the saw head is completely in the down position. The
braking action of the saw may cause the saw head to be suddenly pulled downward, causing a risk of injury.
Residual Risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in accordance with instructions, certain residual risks cannot be rules out. The following hazards may arise in

Safety Rules for Laser Lights
The laser light/laser radiation used in the system is Class 2 with maximum1mWand 650nm wavelengths. These lasers do not normally present an
optical hazard, although staring at the beam may cause flash blindness.
WARNING! DO NOT STARE DIRECTLY AT THE LASER BEAM. A HAZARD MAY EXIST IF YOU DELIBERATELY STARE INTO THE BEAM,
PLEASE OBSERVE ALL SAFETY RULES AS FOLLOWS:
The laser shall be used and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Never aim the beam at any person or an object other than the workpiece.
The laser beam shall not be deliberately aimed at personnel and shall be prevented from being directed towards the eye of a person for longer
than 0.25s.
Always ensure the laser beam is aimed at a sturdy workpiece without reflective surfaces. i.e., wood or rough coated surfaces are acceptable.
Bright shiny reflective sheet steel or the like is not suitable for laser use as the reflective surface could direct the beam back at the operator.
Do not change the laser light assembly with a different type. Repairs must be carried out by the laser manufacturer or an authorised agent.

Intended Use
This mitre saw is intended for cutting wood and analogue materials, it is suitable for straight and curved cuts having Mitre angles of up to 45°. The
saw is not designed for cutting firewood. Do not use machines, tools, and accessories for additional applications (see manufacturer’s instructions)
for works other than those for which they are designed for. All other applications are expressly ruled out.

WARNING! TO PREVENT THE ACCIDENTAL STARTING THAT COULD CAUSE POSSIBLE
SEROUS PERSONAL INJURY, ALWAYS ASSEMBLE ALL PARTS TO YOU SAW BEFORE
CONNECTING IT TO THE POWER SUPPLY. THE SAW SHOULD NEVER BE CONNECTED TO A POWER
SUPPLY WHEN YOU ARE ASSEMBLING PARTS, ADJUSTING, INSTALLING OR REMOVING BLADES, OR
WHEN NOT IN USE.
Dust Extraction Port
To reduce build-up of saw dust and maintain top efficiency of cutting, the saw dust collection can be
achieved by clipping a dust bag on the dust extraction port.
A dust bag is provided for use on you mitre saw. To install it, simply fit the dust bag over the extraction port
on the upper blade guard.
To empty the dust bag, remove it from the dust exhaust port, open the dust by unzipping the slide fastener.
NOTE: to ensure optimal dust collecting, empty the dust bag when it becomes filled to approximately 2/3 of its
capacity.
Mounting Holes
Before use, the saw can be fixed to a firm, level surface with the 4 mounting bolts (Not supplied). Four holes are
provided in the base of the saw to enable it to be fixed to a bench, or other supporting surface.
To mount the saw, process as follows:
1. Locate and mark where the saw is to be mounted.
2. Drill 4 holes through the surface.
3. Place the mitre saw on the surface aligning holes in base when holes drilled in the surface. Install holes,
washers and nuts.
CAUTION! MAKE SURE THAT THE MOUNTING SURFACE IS NOT WARPED AS AN UNEVEN
SURFACE CAN CAUSE BINDING AND INACCURATE SAWING.
Workpiece Clamp
When cutting a workpiece, the boards should always be clamped down with the G Clamp.
Table Extension
For supporting long workpiece, fix the Side support base and adjust the length to suit the long work pieces. Then
tighten the screw of base.

Operation
IMPORTANT! BE SURE THE SUPPLY IS THE SAME AS THE VOLTAGE GIVEN ON THE RATING
PLATE. REMOVE THE MAINS PLUG BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY ADJUSTMENT OR
SERVICING.
Release Knob
When boxed or during storage, transportation, the saw head is locked in the down position.
1. To release the head ready for operation, apply downward pressure on the saw arm and pull out the release
knob (4), and rotate the knob to unlock the saw head.
2. The head will be raised gently to upper position. The saw must never be used with the release knob locking
the head down.
Transportation
1. When transporting the saw with fixed locations, make sure that the saw head is locked in the lower position.
2. The rotary table locking knob, the bevel lock knob and slide lock must all be securely tightened.
3. The saw is switched off and the plug is removed from the power point.
4. Only lift the saw by the operating handle (5) or outer castings. Do not lift the saw using the guards.
For locking the saw head in the down position. Apply downward pressure on the saw arm and pull out the
release knob (4), rotate the knob to lock the saw head. The head will be locked in down position.
Mitre Table Locks
The mitre table locks (20) are used to lock the table at the desired mitre angle.
The mitre saw cuts from 0° to 45° both left and right. To adjust the mitre angle, loosen the mitre table locks
(20) (21) and rotate the mitre table to the desired position.
The mitre table features positive click stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 30° and 45° for quick setting of common mitre
angles.
Bevel Lock
The bevel lock (12) is used to set the blade at the desired bevel angle. The mitre saw bevel cuts from 0° to 45°
to the left. To adjust the bevel angle, loosen the bevel lock and adjust the saw arm to the desired bevel angle.
Spindle Lock Button
The spindle lock button (22) prevents the blade in the saw from rotating. Depress and hold the spindle lock
button while installing, changing, or removing the blade.
Rotating Lower Blade Guard
The rotating lower blade guard (8) provides protection from both sides of the blade. It retracts over the upper
blade guard (6) as the saw is lowered into the workpiece.

Turning ON and OFF
1. To turn the saw ON, press switch lock (30) to left and depress the ON/OFF trigger switch (19)
2. To turn the saw OFF release the ON/OFF trigger switch (19).
Laser ON/OFF
1. Switch ON/OFF the laser lights with the ON/OFF switch (2).
2. Press laser switch at the I position, place to ON, press at 0, then place to OFF.
Setting the Table Square with the Blade
1. Make sure that the electrical plug is removed from the power point.
2. ush the saw arm (3) down to its lowest position and engage the release knob (4) to hold the saw arm in the
transport position.
3. Loosen the mitre locks (20) and lifting up the mitre latch (21).
4. Rotate the table (16) until the pointer is positioned at 0°.
5. Release mitre latch (21) and tighten the mitre locks (20).
6. Loosen the bevel lock (12) and set the saw arm (3) at 0°bevel (the blade at 90°to the mitre table). Tighten
the bevel lock (12).
7. Place a set square against the table (16) and the flat part of the blade.
8. Rotate the blade by hand and check the blade-to-table alignment at several points.
9. The edge of the set square and the sawblade should be parallel.
10. If the sawblade angles away from the set square, adjust as follows.
11. Use a 10mm wrench or adjustable wrench to loosen the lock nut securing the 0° bevel adjustment screw
(29). Also, loosen the bevel lock (12).
12. Adjust the 0° bevel adjustment screw (29) using a 4mm hex key to bring the sawblade into alignment with
the square.
13. Loosen the Phillips head screw holding the pointer of the bevel scale (13) and adjust the position of the
pointer so that it accurately indicates zero on the scale. Retighten the screw.
14. Retighten the bevel lock (12) and the lock nut securing the 0° bevel adjustment screw (29).

Setting the Fence Square with the Table
1. Make sure that the electrical plug is removed from the power point.
2. Push the saw arm (3) down to its lowest position and engage the release knob (4) to hold the saw arm in the
transport position.

6. Using a 5mm hex key, loosen the two screws securing the fence (14) to the base.
7. Place a square against the fence (14) and alongside the blade.
8. Adjust the fence (14) until it is square with the blade.
9. Tighten the screws securing the fence (14).
10. Loosen the Phillips head screw holding the pointer of the mitre scale (17) and adjust it so that it accurately
indicates the zero position on the mitre scale.
11. Retighten the screw securing the mitre scale pointer.
Changing A Blade
NOTE: It is recommended to use a pair of stout gloves for this.
1. Make sure that the electrical plug is removed from the power point.
2. Pushdown on the operating handle (5) and pull the release knob (4) to disengage the saw arm (3).
3. Raise the saw arm (3) to its highest position.
4. Loosen the cover plate screw with a Phillips screwdriver.
5. Pull the rotating blade guard (8) and turn the rotating blade guard (8) is positioned over the upper fixed blade
guard (6), it is possible to access the blade bolt.
6. Hold the rotating guard (8) up and press the spindle lock button (22). Rotate the blade until the spindle locks.
7. Use the 6mm hex key provided to loosen and remove the blade bolt. (Loosen in a clockwise direction as the
blade screw has a left-hand thread).
8. Remove the flat washer, outer blade flange and the blade. Clean any saw dust and debris from the arbor
and saw blade.
9. Wipe a drop of oil onto the inner blade flange and the outer blade flange where they contact the blade.
10. Fit the new blade onto the spindle taking care that the inner blade flange sits behind the blade.
11. Replace the outer blade flange.
12. Depress the spindle lock button (22) and replace the flat washer and blade bolt.
13. Use the 6mm hex key to tighten the blade bolt securely (tighten in an anti-clockwise direction).
14. Lower and hold the rotating lower blade guard (8) and blade bolt cover (10) in position, replace and tighten
the fixing screw to secure the blade bolt cover in position.
15. Check that the blade guard operates correctly and covers the blade as the saw arm is lowered.
16. Connect the saw to the power supply and run the blade to make certain that it is operating correctly.

Cross Cut
If possible, always use a clamping device such as a G clamp to secure your workpiece. When cutting your
workpiece, keep your hands well away from the blade area. Do not remove a cut-off piece on the right-hand side
of the blade using your left hand.
A crosscut is made by cutting across the grain of the workpiece. A 90° crosscut is made with the mitre table set
at 0°. Mitre crosscuts are made with the table set at some angle other than zero.
1. Pull on the release knob (4) and lift the saw arm (3) to its full height.
2. Loosen the mitre locks (20) and lifting up the mitre latch (21).
3. Rotate the mitre table (16) until the pointer aligns with the desired angle.
4. Release mitre latch (21) and re-tighten the mitre locks (20).
5. Place the workpiece flat on the table with one edge securely against the fence (14). If the board is warped,
place the convex side against the fence (14). If the concave side is placed against the fence, the board could
break and jam the blade.
6. When cutting long pieces of timber, support the opposite end of the timber with side support bars, a roller
stand or a work surface that is level with the saw table.
7. Before turning on the saw, perform a dry run of the cutting operation to check that there are no problems
such as a clamp interfering with the cutting action.
8. Hold the operating handle (5) firmly, squeeze switch lock (30) and the switch trigger (19). Allow the blade to
reach maximum speed and slowly lower the blade into and through the workpiece.
9. Release the switch trigger (19) and allow the sawblade to stop rotating before raising the blade out of the
workpiece. Wait until the blade stops before removing the workpiece.
Bevel Cut
If possible, always use a clamping device such as a G clamp on the right of mitre table to secure your
workpiece. When cutting your workpiece, keep your hands well away from the blade area. Do not remove a cut-
off piece on the right-hand side of the blade using your left hand.
A bevel cut is made by cutting across the grain of the workpiece with the blade angled to the fence and mitre
table. The mitre table is set at the zero-degree position and the blade set at an angle between 0°and 45°.
1. Pull on the release knob (4) and lift the saw arm to its full height.
2. Loosen the mitre locks (20) and lifting up the mitre latch (21).
3. Rotate the mitre table (16) until the pointer aligns with zero on the mitre scale (17).

10. Release the switch trigger (19) and allow the saw blade to stop rotating before raising the blade out of the
workpiece. Wait until the blade stops before removing the workpiece.
Compound Mitre Cut
If possible, always use a clamping device such as a G clamp on the right of mitre table to secure your
workpiece. When cutting your workpiece, keep your hands well away from the blade area. Do not remove a cut-
off piece on the right-hand side of the blade using your left hand.
A compound mitre cut involves using a mitre angle and a bevel angle at the same time. It is used in making
picture frames, to cut mouldings, making boxes with sloping sides and for roof framing. Always make a test cut
on a piece of scrap wood before cutting into the good material.

2. Loosen the mitre locks (20) and lift up the mitre latch (21).
3. Rotate the mitre table (16) until the pointer aligns with the desired angle on the mitre scale (17).

To Slide Cut-Wide Boards
To slide cut-wide boards, Unlock the slide lock knob (24) and allow the cutting head assembly to move freely.
Setting the Cutting Depth
The depth of cut can be pre-set for even and repetitive shallow cuts.
1. Slide Trenching stop (26) towards the front position.
2. Loosen the Trenching depth lock nut (27) to free the Trenching depth adjustment screw (25), turn the screw
until the cutting head down until the teeth of the blade are at the desired depth.
3. While holding the upper arm in that position, tighten the lock nut (27) to secure the trenching depth
adjustment screw (25).
4. Recheck the blade depth by moving the cutting head front to back through the full motion of typical cut along
the control arm.

Maintenance

General Maintenance
When all the adjustments, settings or maintenance have been done, make sure that all keys and wrenches
have been removed and that all screws, bolts, and other fittings are securely tightened.
Keep the tool's air vents unclogged and clean at all times. Occasionally you may see sparks through the
ventilation slots. This is normal and will not damage your power tool.
Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign matter has entered the grills near the motor and around the
trigger switch. Use a soft brush to remove any accumulated dust.
Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes whilst cleaning.
If the body of the saw needs cleaning, wipe it with a soft damp cloth. A mild detergent can be used but
nothing like alcohol, petrol, or other cleaning agent.
Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts.
CAUTION: WATER MUST NEVER COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE SAW.
Store the tool and accessories in a secure place. In this way, you will always have all the parts on hand.
General Inspection
Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight. They may vibrate loose over time. Check especially the
outer flange. If there is vibration, screws can loosen with time.
Regularly check the device’s power cable and all extension cables used for damage. If the supply cord
needs replacing, the task must be carried out by the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s agent, or an
authorized service centre to avoid a safety hazard. Replace damaged extension cables.
If the carbon brushes need to be replaced, have this done by a qualified repair person (always replace the
two brushes at the same time).
Servicing the Tool
Tool service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Service or maintenance performed by
unqualified personnel could result in a risk of injury.
When servicing a tool, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions in the Maintenance section
of this manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to follow Maintenance Instructions may create a risk of
electric shock or injury.
