1. SAFETY
1.1. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING! It is the user’s responsibility to check the following:
9 Check all electrical equipment and appliances to ensure that they are safe before using.
9 Inspect power supply leads, plugs and all electrical connections for wear and damage.
9 Ensure that the insulation on all cables and on the appliance is safe before connecting it to the power supply.
8 DO NOT use worn or damaged cables, plugs or connectors.
9 Ensurethatanyfaultyitemisrepairedorisreplacedimmediatelybyaqualiedelectrician.

9 Any additional hoses or ducts can add pressure drop and shall be considered by the installation designer or the user.

6. OPERATION n
6.1. RESTRICTED USE
6.1.1. The use of the machine should be restricted to those trained in its use. Reduce the risks associated with welding using an extractor
properly, so it is paramount to train Welders in its correct use.
6.2. FUNCTIONAL TESTING
6.2.1. Frequency of functional testing: TheExtractorshouldbefunctionallytestedeverytimebeforeuse.
6.2.2. Method of functional testing: The fan needs to be checked that it can extract properly and the simplest way to do this is to put your
handovertheendofthenozzlesothesuctioncanbefelt,ifitcannotbefeltorareductionsensedthentheremightbeanissuewith
thefanorthelterswhichwillneedresolvingbeforeuse.
6.3. All3ltersmustbeinplaceduringoperation.
6.4. Connecttomainssupply.PressOn/Oswitch(C).
6.5. Thenozzleoftheextractionarmneedstobepointedattheareaofwelding,nottooclosesoastobedamagedbytheweldingprocess
but close enough to suck up the fumes to go through the extraction process.
6.6. Setfanspeedasrequired(D).
6.7. BLOCKAGE
6.7.1. Theextractorcanbecomeblockedbysomethingbeingsuckedintotheextractorwhichblocksthearmornozzle,orthelters.Itcould
becomecloggedbyfumeparticles.Inbothcasesswitchoandunplugthemachine,thenremoveblockagefromarmornozzleorin
thecaseofcloggedlterscleanorifnecessary,replace.
7. MAINTENANCE.
WARNING!Removefrommainssupplybeforeperformingmaintenance.
7.1. Restrict use and maintenance of this product to trained personnel only.
7.2. Preventativemaintenancemeasurestobeobserved:Checkfiltersregularly,cleanandreplaceasrequired.
7.3. Electricalandmechanicalmaintenanceintervalsaredeterminedbytheworkingenvironmentandmaintenancetimeoftheequipment.
Themaintenanceintervalisusuallythreemonths.
7.4. Iftheequipmentoperatesformorethan8hoursperday,themaintenanceintervalshouldbeshortenedasrequired.
7.5. Regular maintenance can ensure good equipment performance.
7.6. MAINTENANCE
7.6.1. Clean the metal mesh of the metal filter.
7.6.2. Replacefiltercottonofprimaryfilter(polyesterfibrefiltercotton).
7.6.3. Replacethewholesecondaryfilter(PP+PET).

7.6.4.1. Filter Inspection: Removethefrontcover,andthenremovethefilterholder.Thefiltersareinside,removethemforcleaningor
replacement.
7.7. RESIDUAL RISKS THAT REMAIN
The Extractor will collect dangerously contaminated particles which could lodge in the machine itself or in the filters. This needs to be
consideredwhenworkingonthemachineorcleaningordisposingofthefilterswhichshouldbetreatedashazardouswaste.
7.8. STORAGE
7.8.1. Extractormustbestoredinadry(avoidhighhumidity),childfreelocation.Whereitwillbesafefromimpacts.
7.9. TRANSPORT/HANDLING
7.9.1. Caremustbetakenwhenmovingtheextractoraroundtheworkingenvironment.
7.9.2. Thehandlemustbeusedtomovetheextractor. DO NOT runoverthehose.
