Alpine Under Cabinet Venting Specifications
1. The hoods feature a 8” top round opening. Run ductwork between the hood
location and roof cap. For the results, use a minimum number of transitions and
elbows.
2. Use the diagram above for placement of ductwork and electrical cutout in
cabinet or wall.
WARNING: To avoid the risk of fire, use only the metal ductwork.

Alpine Under Cabinet Installation
STEP 1: PROTECT THE COOKTOP
Put a thick, protective covering over counter top, cook top, or range to protect it from
damage or dirt.
STEP 2: CREATE WORK STATION (OPTIONAL)
Put two pieces of wood, about 2” x 4” x 20”, on both sides of stove. Put plywood on
top of them to protect the cook top or stove from damage or dirt. This plywood also
creates a comfortable work station for easy installation.
STEP 3: PREPARE DUCTWORK & SINGLE OUTLET
• Make sure you have a 15amp, 120V, 60Hz, single outlet on the left or right of
the duct pipe (usually is on ¼ of cabinet width).
• Make sure duct pipe is ready to hook up to the range hood before beginning
installation (8” diameter duct and roof or wall cap, depending on where the
hood will be vented.)
