Thistesthelpsyoutovalidateyourinstallationundercurrentconditions.Theeverydayperformanceofyourinstallationcan
beaffectedbychangesinthescene.
Theradarisreadytouseassoonasitisinstalled,however,werecommendthatyouperformavalidationbeforeyoustarttouse
it.Thiscanincreasetheaccuracyoftheradarbyhelpingyoutoidentifyanyproblemswiththeinstallationormanageobjects
(suchastreesandreectivesurfaces)inthescene.
FirstCalibratetheradaronpage16beforeattemptingthevalidation.Thenfollowthesesteps:
Checkthattherearenofalsedetections
1.Checkthatthedetectionzoneisclearfromhumanactivity.
2.Waitforafewminutestoensurethattheradarisnotdetectinganystaticobjectsinthedetectionzone.
3.Iftherearenounwanteddetectionsyoucanskipstep4.
4.Ifthereareunwanteddetections,learnhowtolteroutcertaintypesofmovementorobjects,changethecoverage,or
adjustthedetectionsensitivityinMinimizefalsealarmsonpage19.
Checkforthecorrectsymbolanddirectionoftravelwhentheradarisapproachedfromthefront
1.Gointotheradar’swebinterfaceandrecordthesession.Forhelpdoingthis,gotoRecordandwatchvideoonpage22.
2.Startupto60m(196ft)infrontoftheradarandwalkdirectlytowardstheradar.
3.Checkthesessionintheradar’swebinterface.Thesymbolforahumanclassicationshouldappearwhenyouaredetected.
4.Checkthattheradar’swebinterfaceshowsthecorrectdirectionoftravel.
Checkforthecorrectsymbolanddirectionoftravelwhentheradarisapproachedfromtheside
1.Gointotheradar’swebinterfaceandrecordthesession.Forhelpdoingthis,gotoRecordandwatchvideoonpage22.
2.Start30m(98ft)outfromtheradarandwalkstraightacrosstheradarcoveragearea.
3.Checkthattheradar’swebinterfaceshowsthesymbolforahumanclassication.
4.Checkthattheradar’swebinterfaceshowsthecorrectdirectionoftravel.
