Sound and other settings
IMPORTANT

Set the remote control mode selector to
AUDIO.
NOTE
Before you start operation;
There is a time limit v\hen doing the lbllov\ ing steps. 11the setting is
cancelled before you linish, start from step 1 again.
1Press SETTING.

DEC. A/PCM
2Press Cursor T/A to select the item
you want to set.
DEC (Decode):
When you play an external source (DBS is selected as a
source) that was encoded with Dolby D or DI'S Digital
Surround the l'ollowing symptoms may occur;
No sound comes out at the beginning oi!playback.

Noise comes out while searching (_)ror skipping chapters
or tracks.
A/PCM (Auto/PCM):
Normally select this. The system automatically
detects the incoming signals.
DD: Select this if the symptoms above occur when
playing a disc (or so[tware) encoded with Dolby
D.
DI'S: Select this if the symptoms above occur when
playing a disc (or software) encoded with DTS
Digital Surround.
MON (Monitor Out):
Select the video output jack type by which you watch DVD
playback after connecting your TV. (7" pg. 12)
Set the video output to use AV COMPU LINK remote
control system. (7" pg. 41)
VIDEO: lb watch DVD playback via the VIDEO jack.
S: To watch DVD playback via the S-VIDEO jack.
COMP (Component):
lb watch DVD playback via the COMPONEN 1'
VIDEO OUT jacks.

3Press Cursor _/_ to make an
adjustment or selection.
Example:
DEC. DD
The adjustment is set and the display automatically disappears
a few seconds later.
NOTE
When "DD" or "DTS" is selected, ila signal encoded vxithanother
digital format comes in, you cannot listen to/he sound. (The
[1EIDIGITALor _ indicator llashes.)
