SECTION5: KNOWYOURGARDENTRACTOR
This section is meant to acquaint you with the various types of controls and switches available on these tractors.
Please read this section carefully and know your tractor well before operating. As with any power equipment, it is
extremely important to ensure proper and safe operation of the tractor by following the instructions closely. Note
that this manual covers various models and many controls, listed here, may be optional items.

IgnitionKey
The ignition key switch is located on the dashboard. To
start the engine, turn the key clockwise to the START
position. Once the engine has cranked, put the key in
the ON position. To stop the engine, turnthe key tothe
OFF position.To prevent accidental starting, remove
key from the tractor when the tractor is not in use.
Igniti0n/lightSwitch
The lights are controlled by the ignition switch. With the
tractor running, turn the key counter-clockwise to the
LIGHTS ON position.
ThrottleControl
The throttle control islocated on the leftside ofthe
dashboard and is used to regulate engine speed. The
