4. Operation
Inter Power Walk in(s): When the UPS systems are in parallel mode, this setting enables the UPS to control the interval
that each UPS transfers from battery mode to normal mode, reducing the impact on the generator or power grid. The
value range is 1 to 200. The default value is 10.
Inter sleep mode: Default is Disable. If the setting is changed to Enable, Inter Sleep Mode (i.e. a UPS goes into Sleep
Mode/Standby Mode) can be activated if two or more S3M UPS systems are connected in parallel and the load on each
UPS is below 30% for more than 20 minutes. For example in Figure 4-28D, when four UPS systems are connected in
parallel and the load of each UPS is less than 30%, one UPS will enter go into Sleep Mode/Standby Mode and the other
three UPS systems will share the new load equally, raising the load of the three active UPS systems from 30% to 40%
each.

Notes:
• When a UPS goes into Sleep Mode (Standby Mode), it will stay in Standby Mode without supplying to the load.
• The UPS in Sleep Mode will not support sudden load connects or disconnects.
If the total load connected to the non-Sleep Mode UPS systems increases over 70%, then the UPS in Sleep Mode
will wake up and start supplying to the load.
