1. Important Safeguards
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use.
If this appliance is passed to a third party, then these instructions
must be included.
When using the appliance, basic safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of injury including the following:

» Read all instructions prior to assembly and use. The assembly and use of
this appliance must conform to local codes. In absence of local codes, use
either the National Fuel Gas Code (ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54), or the Natural
Gas and Propane Installation Code (CSA B149.1), or the Propane Storage
and Handling Code (CSA B149.2).
» The appliance is intended to be used with a standard 1 lb (0.45 kg) LP
gas cylinder (not included). Do not connect the appliance to an LP gas
cylinder that exceeds this capacity.
» Do not use lava rock, wood chunks, charcoal, lighter uid, alcohol
or other similar chemicals for lighting or relighting. Keep all such
substances and liquids well away from the appliance when in use.
» Use the appliance only outdoors. Do not use the appliance in a building,
garage, or any other enclosed area.
» The appliance is not intended to be installed in or on boats or
recreational vehicles.
» Maintain proper clearances from combustible construction. Keep a
minimum clearance of 36 inches (91 cm) from sides and rear of the
appliance to combustible construction.
» Do not use the appliance under overhead combustible construction.
» Keep the appliance area clear and free from combustible materials,
gasoline and other ammable vapors and liquids.
» Do not obstruct the ow of combustion and ventilation air to this
appliance.
» Never operate this appliance unattended.
» Keep young children and pets while the appliance is in use.
» The appliance becomes very hot while in use. Use heat-resistant gloves,
long-handled tongs or insulated mitts at all times.
» Do not move the appliance when it is in use.
» Do not use the appliance without the griddle or drip tray properly
installed in place.
» Always check for gas leaks when connecting or disconnecting an LP gas
cylinder to the gas regulator, especially after a prolonged storage period.
» This appliance must be assembled by an adult.
» Keep children and pets away while assembling the appliance.
» Do not let children play with the appliance.
» Always use the appliance on a rm, level, heat-resistant surface.
» Do not use this appliance if any parts are missing, damaged, or worn.
» Do not over-tighten the fasteners.
» Regularly examine the appliance for wear and tear. Stop using the
appliance at rst sign of damage or if parts become detached.
» The appliance is not intended for commercial use.
» This appliance is not intended for and should never be used as heater.
2. Assembly
For additional illustrated assembly steps, refer to the
end of the written instructions.
This appliance should be assembled, maintained and operated
only by an adult. If in doubt, consult a professional.
3. Before First Use
» Remove all the packing materials.
» Remove and review all components before starting
assembly.
» Check the appliance for transport damages.
» Clean the appliance before rst use. The appliance may emit
a slight smell or smoke when it is rst used. This is entirely
safe and harmless. Ensure there is adequate ventilation in
the room.
4. Preparation
4.1 Choosing a suitable location
» The appliance is for outdoor use only. Do not use it inside a
building, garage, or any other enclosed areas.
» Place the appliance on a stable, level and heat-resistant
surface.
» Place the appliance in locations with adequate fresh air
ventilation.
» Keep a minimum clearance of 36 inches (91 cm) from sides
and rear of the appliance to combustible construction.
Do not use the appliance under overhead combustible
construction.

Combustible materials are materials made of or
surface with wood, compressed paper, plant bers, or other
materials that are capable of being ignited and burned. Such
material shall be considered combustible even though ame-
proofed, re-retardant treated, or plastered. Combustible
materials include lattice, wood, plants, umbrellas, canopies,
awnings and similar items.

» Do not store a spare LP cylinder under or near the appliance.
Keep a minimum distance of 10 feet (3 meters) away from
the appliance.
» Keep young children and pets away from the appliance.
When children are near the appliance, they should be
carefully supervised by an adult.
» Combustible materials, gasoline, and other ammable
vapors or liquids should be situated at least 25 feet
(7.5 meters) away from the appliance.
4.2 Picking a suitable LP gas cylinder

» Do not store a spare LP gas cylinder under or near this
appliance.
» Never ll the cylinder beyond 80 % full.
» If the information above is not followed exactly, a re
causing death or serious injury may occur.
» The liqueed petroleum (LP) cylinder must be constructed
and marked in accordance with the specications for LP
Gas Cylinders of the U.S. Department of Transportation
(D.O.T.) or the National Standard of Canada, CAN/CSA-B339,
Cylinders, Spheres and Tubes for Transportation of
Dangerous Goods and Commission.
» The appliance must be used with a standard 1 lb (0.45 kg) LP
gas cylinder (not included) marked “propane”.
» Do not use an LP gas cylinder if it has a damaged valve or
shows signs of dents, gouges, bulges, re damage, corrosion,
leakage, excessive rust, or other forms of visual external
damage. Have the LP gas cylinder checked immediately by a
liquid propane supplier.
