Terminal Block, Patch Panel (M210)
Terminal Block and Patch Panel label types are designed to be used with any media, except SelfLam
or Permasleeve. If SelfLam or Permasleeve is installed, these label types are not available.
To use Terminal Block or Patch Panel:
1. Press LABEL TYPE.
2. Navigate to the desired label type and press Enter .
Data fields display requesting additional information. (For a review of data field navigation, see
page 21.) The data fields for Terminal Block and Patch Panel are similar.
3. In the Spacing: field, choose a pre-programmed value using the left or right navigation key or,
when the cursor is flashing, enter your own value* for the amount of space that exists between
the terminals or ports.
*If a custom value was previously entered, it will remain in the printer.
Note: If you have indicated the correct spacing between the requested number of terminals or ports,
the printed label can be attached to the terminal block or patch panel as one strip. There is
no need to cut and adhere each individual block or port identifier.
4. Navigate to the Serial: field, then use the left or right navigation key to turn serialization ON or
OFF.
If serialization is turned ON, proceed to Step 6.
Note: If serialization is turned ON, you do not have to specify the number of terminations (or the
number of ports if using Patch Panel).
If serialization is turned OFF, continue with the following:
5. Navigate to the # of Terminations: (or # of Ports:) field and enter the number of terminals or
ports needed.
6. Navigate to the Rotation: field (not visible on the initial data fields screen), and determine if you
want the label data to print out at 0
° rotation (landscape) or print vertically at 90° rotation
(portrait). Use the left or right navigation key to switch between degrees of rotation.
