Care and Cleaning
Electrical Shock Hazard.
Do not immerse mixer, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
w WARNING
1. Make sure Mixer Speed Control Dial is set to OFF ( ) and Mixer
is unplugged.
2. Turn Mixer Release Lever clockwise and tilt Mixer Head up.
3. Remove Bowl Attachment by pressing attachment upward as
far as possible. Turn attachment clockwise and pull to remove.
Remove Bowl by turning counterclockwise and lift up.
4. Turn Mixer Release Lever clockwise and lower Mixer Head down
into position.
5. Flat Beater, Dough Hook, Whisk, Pouring Shield and Splash Collar
are dishwasher safe in TOP rack only. Bowl is dishwasher safe.
6. DO NOT use “SANI” setting when washing in dishwasher. “SANI”
cycle temperatures could damage your Mixer parts.
7. To remove Bowl Attachments, refer to page 6, and to remove
accessories, refer to page 7.
Troubleshooting
Food is not mixed.
Place liquid ingredients in Bowl before adding dry ingredients.
Stop Mixer and scrape sides of Bowl.
Increase speed.
Unit stops and will not come back on.
Is the outlet still working? Check it by plugging in a working lamp or other appliance. You may have overloaded the circuit and blown a fuse
or tripped the circuit breaker.
Turn Speed Control Dial to OFF ( ) and unplug. Allow to stand 45 minutes, and then turn Stand Mixer Speed Control Dial clockwise to
desired speed. If none of these suggestions correct the problem, DO NOT attempt to repair the unit. Call the Customer Service number to
get the name of your nearest Authorized Service Center.
Food splatters during mixing.
Splash Collar and Pouring Shield are not on Bowl. Place Splash Collar and Pouring Shield on edge of Bowl. Align Tabs of Pouring Shield with
Splash Collar Tab openings.
Mixtures containing large amounts of liquid ingredients should be mixed at lower speeds to avoid splashing. Increase speed only after the
mixture has thickened.
Mixer “walks” on counter during mixing.
Reduce speed.
Reduce quantity of ingredients in Bowl.
Make sure countertop is clean. This allows the mixer feet to grip countertop and reduce Mixer movement.
