Table 8-3 Amber

Light behavior Description

Solid amber light on the bar. The printer door might not be closed properly. Make sure the

cartridge access and rear access doors are closed properly.

If (the Paper light) blinks, the printer might be out of

paper or not loaded properly (see

Load paper). Load paper, and

press (the Resume button) to continue.

Or there could be a paper jam. Clear jam (see Clear paper jams),

and press (the Resume button) to continue.

If (the Cartridge light) blinks, the cartridge might be very

low or there is a cartridge error (such as incompatible,

unauthorized, or protected). Replace the toner cartridge.

NOTE: No notication is provided if the printer has been

congured to continue printing when the toner cartridge is very

low.

Solid amber light ashes fast on the bar. The printer has encountered some problem. Turn o the printer,

and then turn it on again after 30 seconds. If problem persists,

visit www.hp.com/support/ljM232eMFP .

Light behavior Description

Solid light blue light on the bar. The printer is idle and connected to a wireless network. A

computer or mobile device is directly connected to the printer

using Wi-Fi Direct.

If (the Cartridge light) is on, the printer cartridge level is

low, see

Cartridge is low.

If (the Cartridge light) blinks, the printer cartridge level is

very low, see

Cartridge is very low.
