Problem
My light won’t turn on or ickers.
Solutions
» Make sure that the power is turned on.
» Make sure that you use a compatible LED bulb that is higher than 3 W. See “Smart Light
Dimmer Bulb Compatibility” on page 10 for a list of compatible bulbs.
» When using multiple bulbs, use bulbs that are the same model and wattage. Using
combinations of dierent bulbs can result in varied performance.
» Irregular power surges can cause the light to icker. Reset the lowest dimming brightness.
See Adjusting the dimming range” on page 4.
» Make sure that the wires were connected correctly. See your setup guide for more
information.
» Make sure that the maximum TRAVELER wire length does not exceed 98’ (30 m).
» If you have a 3-way switch, the smart switch must be installed to the switch box connected
to LOAD (your light xture). The 3-way conguration won’t work if the traditional switch is
connected to LOAD.
Problem
Alexa can’t discover my Amazon Basics smart switch.
Solutions
» Check that your Alexa-enabled device and the Alexa app have the latest software version.
» Make sure that your Alexa-enabled device and your switch are connected to the same WiFi
network.
» Check that your paired device is within 30 ft. (9 m) of your switch.
» Make sure you scan the 2D code provided in your Setup Guide or on the device. The 2D
code on packaging is not for Alexa setup.
» Restart your device by turning the power on and o or pulling the air gap out and pushing
it back in.
» Do a factory reset. See “Factory reset” on page 7.
