PREPARING THE UNIT
FOR STORAGE
Water should not remain inthe unitfor longperiods of
time. Sedimentsor minerals candeposit on pump parts and
"freeze" pump action. If you do not plan to usethe pressure
washer for more than 30 days,follow this procedure:
I. Flushdetergent siphoningtube by placingfilter intoa
pail of cleanwater while running pressure washer in
low pressure mode. Flushfor one to two minutes.
2. Shut off engineand let it cool, then remove high
pressure and garden hoses.Disconnect spark plugwire
from spark plug.
3. Empty pump of liquidsby pulling engine recoil handle
about 6 times. This should remove most liquidin
pump.
4. Use pump saverto prevent corrosion build up and
freezing of pump.
5. Store unitin a clean,dry area.
Protecting the Pump
To protect the pump from damagecaused by mineral
deposits or freezing, use PumpSaverto treat pump. This
prevents freeze damageand lubricates pistons and seals.
NOTE: PumpSaverisavailableasan optional accessory.It is
not includedwith the pressurewasher.Contact the nearest
authorized servicecenter to purchasePumpSaver.
CAUTION
Failureto do sowill permanentlydamageyour pumpand
renderyour unit inoperable.
Freezedamageisnot coveredunderwarranty.
CAUTION
Always wear eye protection when using PumpSaver.
To use PumpSaver, make sure the pressure washer is
turned off and disconnected from supply water. Read and
follow all instructions and warnings given on the PumpSaver
container.
NOTE: PumpSaver will drip from pump after treatment
and will stain wood and concrete.
NOTE: If PumpSaver is not available, draw RV antifreeze
(non-alcohol) into the pump by pouring the solution into a
3-foot section of garden hose connected to inlet adapter
and pulling recoil handle twice.
