Cleaning and Maintenance

CLEANING YOUR INDOOR UNIT

WARNING - BEFORE CLEANING OR MAINTENANCE

Always turn off your air conditioner system and disconnect its power supply before cleaning or

maintenance.

CAUTION

Only use a soft and dry cloth to wipe the unit clean. If the unit is very dirty, you can use a cloth soaked in

warm water to wipe it clean.

• Do not use chemicals or chemically treated cloths to clean the unit.

• Donotusebenzene,paintthinner,polishingpowderorothersolventstocleantheunit.Thesecan

cause the plastic surface to crack or deform.

• Do not use water hotter than 40°C (104°F) to clean the front panel. This can deform and discolor the panel.

CLEANING YOUR AIR FILTER

Acloggedairconditionercanreducethecoolingef�ciencyofthe

applianceandharmyourhealth.Makesuretocleantheair�lter

every two weeks.

1. Lift the front panel of the indoor unit.

2. Firstpressthetabontheendof�ltertoloosenthebuckle,

lift it up, then pull it towards yourself.

3. Pullthe�lterout.

4. Unclipthesmallairfreshening�lter(notsupplied)fromthe

larger�lter.Cleanitwithahand-heldvacuum.

5. Cleanthisairfreshening�lterwithahand-heldvacuum.

Cleanthelargeair�lterwithwarm,soapywater.Besureto

use mild detergent.

6. Rinsethe�lterwithfreshwater,thenshakeoffexcesswater.

7. Drythe�lterinacoolanddryplace.Donotexposeitto

direct sunlight.

8. Installtheairfreshening�ltertothelarger�lter,thenslide

it into the indoor unit.

9. Close the front panel of the indoor unit.

CAUTION

Donottouchtheairfreshening(Plasma)�lterforatleast10

minutes after turning off the unit.

CAUTION

• Beforechangingorcleaningthe�lter,turnofftheunitand

disconnectitspowersupply�rstly.

• Whenremoving�lter,donottouchthemetalpartsinthe

unit. The sharp metal edges can hurt you.

• Do not use water to clean the inside of the indoor unit. This

can cause electrical shock.

• Donotexposethe�ltertodirectsunlightwhendrying.This

canshrinkthe�lter.
