1"Maximum of the player's actual resolution according to a connected HDMI TV. The order of precedence is
1080i>720p>480p>480i. For example, if "up to 1080i" is set and the connected TV cannot receive 1080i resolution,
the player automatically lower its output resolution to 720p, if not still received, to 480p, then 480i.

Important information about setting and output resolution for HD performance
(HDMI OUTPUT and COMPONENT OUTPUT)
To achieve high definition output when playing high definition material, it is necessary to set the output resolution of the
player to match the native resolution of the disc. For example, when playing a disc with a native resolution of 720p, set
the player output to 720p. For a disc with native resolution of 1080i, set the player to 1080i. Make sure that your HDTV
or HD monitor input resolution will match the resolution you select for the player. In some cases such as with Toshiba
HDTVs and HD displays, your HDTV or HD monitor will automatically switch input resolutions to match the output you
select for the player. In other cases, a change in setting of the HDTV ot HD display will be necessary. Please see
owner's manual of your HDTV or HD monitor for details. If the disc does not provide information concerning its native
resolution, you may need to try all HD output modes to determine which provides high definition playback.
