Basic Table Saw Operation
non-thru sawing. The work piece must be
held against the saw's fence as it is being fed.
An auxiliary fence should be attached to the
saw's fence (see page 28). Never make free-
hand cuts. Whenever possible, use push
sticks and push blocks for molding cutting
(see page 30). Use feather boards and hold-
downs, attached to the table or fence (See
page 38). IMPORTANT: Follow all instruc-
tions and warnings that come with your mold-
ing head set.
RETURNING SAW TO NORMAL
THRU-CUTTING
After completing your Molding cutting, be
sure to return the inner and outer washers to
the original positions (see page 18 for de-
tails). It is important that the original equip-
ment washers are in the proper positions so
that the saw blade always aligns with the per-
manently installed riving knife.
Special Cutting Techniques
This table saw is a highly
versatile tool, ca pa ble of
performing a wide range of highly specialized
cuts that cannot be covered in this manual.
Do not attempt to perform cuts not covered
in this manual un less you are thoroughly fa-
miliar with procedures and fixtur ing.

working techniques, such as: The Complete
Book of Stationary Power Tool Techniques by
R.J. De Christoforo or Table Saw Techniques
by R. Cliffe.
Cutting Metals and Masonry
This table saw is not rec-
ommended for cutting
metals, such as aluminum or copper, even
with a special blade designed to cut these
materials.
This table saw is not rec-
ommended for cutting any
masonry material, even with abrasive cut-off
wheels.
